Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices are disclosed for establishing sessions over a network. A query can be sent, from a mobile device to an authoritative DNS server, requesting a session over a network. In response to the query, a list of available communication protocol options can be received from the authoritative DNS server. A specific communication protocol can be selected from the list of available communication protocol options, where the specific communication protocol is selected based on one or more performance metrics. A connection with a gateway device can then be initiated using the selected specific communication protocol.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and computer-readable media for reporting QoE of a UE, as measured and determined from the perspective of the UE to one or more core components of the cellular network to which the UE is attached. The QoE may then be used by the one or more core components for managing and adjusting, if necessary, the cellular services provided to the UE. In one aspect, a method includes determining, at a user device, a quality of experience (QoE) of user device connected to a cellular network and transmitting, via a non-access stratum (NAS) signaling, a value of the QoE from the user device to a core network element of the cellular network, wherein the core network element utilizes the QoE value to manage network access and a quality of service (QoS) of the user device.

Abstract: Presented herein are techniques in which a network device obtains a request from an Internet of Things (IoT) device to access a wireless wide area (WWA) access network. The request includes a token and an identifier associated with the IoT device. The network device transmits a verification request to an IoT vendor associated with the IoT device to determine whether the token and the identifier are valid and obtains an indication from the IoT vendor that the token and the identifier are valid. The network device facilitates connection of the IoT device to the WWA access network based on obtaining the indication that the token and the identifier are valid.

Abstract: Presented herein are efficient techniques through which it may be identified that a user device has transmitted a threshold number of signaling messages associated with one or more requests in a first time period. The user device may be placed in a suppression state based on the identifying and the user device may be removed from the suppression state when no signaling messages associated with the one or more requests are received during a second time period or when a signaling message associated with a different request is received from the user device.
