    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a mesh gNB architecture enabled by SRv6 in which the mesh itself is a single logical gNB. The mesh can adapt to the Radio Frequency (RF) environment, leveraging a mix of physical layer links, including self-backhaul and other media to bypass RF obstacles and reach locations that would otherwise be blocked for coverage. In one aspect, a mesh-based radio access node includes one or more donor nodes and one or more relay nodes. Each of the one or more donor nodes and the one or more relay nodes includes at least one SRv6 router, and the one or more donor nodes and the one or more relay nodes are configured to communicate over a combination of wired and self-backhaul channels.

    Abstract: Methods for selecting network slice, session management, and user plane functions for for user equipment (UE) are described. In one example, a control plane (CP) entity for mobility management may select a CP entity for session management for a session of a UE based on a first set of data items. The CP entity for mobility management may further select a user plane (UP) entity for the session of the UE based on a second set of data items, where second set of data items include at least some of the same data items of the first set. The CP entity for mobility management may send, to the selected CP entity, a message including an identity or indication of the selected UP entity for the session of the UE. The selected CP entity may select the identified or indicated UP entity for use in the session of the UE.

    Abstract: Various implementations disclosed herein provide a method to aggregate bandwidth across a wireless link and a wireline link. The method includes obtaining a first set of data packets from client devices and determining whether to transmit the first set of data packets to a packet processing node. The method further includes generating a first set of adapted data packets by applying a first adaptation function. The method includes generating a first set of adapted data packets. While the first set of data packets do not satisfy a first suitability criterion, the first set of adapted data packets satisfy a first suitability criterion. The disclosed method further includes generating a first set of adapted data packets including aggregating the first set of data packets from the client devices. Finally, the disclosed method includes transmitting the first set of adapted data packets to the packet processing node.

    Abstract: In accordance with various implementations, a method is performed at a gateway with one or more processors, non-transitory memory, and a data interface. The method includes: obtaining a request to instantiate a tunnel for data from a guest service provider (GSP) to a user device that traverses an operator network; determining whether the request satisfies tunneling criteria, where the tunneling criteria at least includes a first criterion associated with intrinsic information associated with the operator network and a second criterion associated with extrinsic information that characterizes network resources of the network operator based on a relationship between the operator network and the GSP; instantiating the tunnel in response to determining that the request satisfies the tunneling criteria, where instantiating the tunnel includes the gateway transmitting tunnel instructions to other nodes of the operator network; and routing the data through the tunnel to transmit the data to the user device.

    Abstract: The present technology is directed to providing enhanced capacity for tenants in a neutral host network (NHN) via multi-connectivity such as dual connectivity or carrier aggregation. The present technology can identify, at a small cell gateway, signaling traffic passing from an access network to a respective core network of an NHN operating at mid-band frequencies and add an interface between the small cell gateway of the NHN and a base station of a tenant network operating at low-band frequencies to establish dual connectivity. Furthermore, the present technology can establish a radio resource control (RRC) connection in a primary cell residing in a macro network operating at low-band frequencies and add, at a fronthaul gateway, one or more secondary cells in a small cell network operating at mid-band frequencies to enable carrier aggregation of the one or more secondary cells with the primary cell the small cell network.

    Abstract: System, methods, and computer-readable media for a Neutral Host (NH) operation of a 5G radio, whereby a NH operator receives feedback from hosts and determines to partition Physical Resource Block (PRB) resources. Thus, a NH system is provided that enables a third-party to independently operate other channels, whereby individual physical random access channels (PRACH) are operated by independent hosts. The NH system is able to indicate partitioned resources to individual hosts, including PRACH definition and mutually exclusive set of PRBs partitioned between tenants. The hosts operating in the NH system may be operable to implement their own independent schedulers, incorporating host specific logic, that can be configured with the partitioned resources but which may further operate independently of each other.
