Abstract: A cassette filter including a plurality of filter media packs, a frame for receiving the filter media packs, and protective grids. Two filter media packs in each case are arranged in a v-shape, and a gas flows through the filter media packs from a dirty gas side of the filter to a clean gas side of the filter in order to clean the gas. A respective protective grid of the protective grids is arranged on each filter media pack on the clean gas side. The protective grids have a grid structure with substantially closed curves of different sizes arranged centrically around at least one centre of the protective grid and with a plurality of connectors, which are oriented radially with respect to the centre of the protective grid and connect the closed curves to one another.

Abstract: A method for providing an air stream for a system, in particular a plant, includes the following steps: a. specifying an air requirement and a required degree of air purity of the system having the plant, and storing the values in a memory unit of a control module; b. cleaning the air stream in a filter module comprising filter elements; c. providing the air stream through the filter module to air inlets or air outlets of the system as a provided air stream; d. detecting a magnitude of the provided air stream and of an actual degree of air purity by a sensor system; e. comparing a magnitude of the provided air stream and of the actual degree of air purity to the stored values; and g. calculating a performance characteristic of the filter module. A volume of the provided air influences the performance characteristic.

Abstract: A method for predicting a service life of a filter element of a filter module in a system, the filter element serving to clean air, includes the steps of: a) retrieving characterization data of the system from a database; b) retrieving characterization data of the filter element from a database; c) retrieving measurement data of the system detected in the system by sensor technology; d) retrieving measurement data of the filter element detected by the sensor technology in the filter module; e) retrieving measurement data of air to be cleaned; and f) creating a data model from the data and determining the service life of the filter element to be expected.

Abstract: A method for designing and/or controlling a filter assembly for the air supply to a turbomachine includes: calculating a current and/or an expected concentration of particles inair present at an inlet of at least one filter stage of the filter assembly as a function of a mean size of the particles; calculating a sensitivity spectrum that, depending on the mean size of the particles, indicates an extent to which a predetermined concentration of such particles has a negative effect on performance and/or on service life of the turbomachine; calculating, for at least one filter candidate usable in the filter stage and/or switchable on or off, a concentration of particles to be expected at an outlet of the filter from a concentration and filter properties of the at least one filter candidate; and calculating a quality rating from the concentration and a sensitivity spectrum.
