摘要： Provided is a nucleic acid comprising a recombinant bacterial or archaeal geranyl pyrophosphate synthase (GPPS) gene, codon optimized for production in yeast. Also provided is a yeast cell comprising an expression cassette comprising the above nucleic acid. Additionally provided is a method of producing a terpene or cannabinoid in a yeast, the method comprising incubating the above yeast cell in a manner sufficient to produce the terpene or cannabinoid.
