    Abstract: An X-ray diagnostic apparatus according to an embodiment includes an X-ray tube, an X-ray detector, image generating circuitry, and processing circuitry. The X-ray tube generates an X-ray. The X-ray detector is positioned in a manner facing the X-ray tube, and detects the X-ray. The image generating circuitry generates an X-ray image one after another, based on an output of the X-ray detector. The processing circuitry identifies an inserted object inside a subject in the X-ray image, by performing an image recognition process to the X-ray image. The processing circuitry sets the area to be searched for a marker, based on the inserted object identified in the X-ray image. The processing circuitry detects the marker in the X-ray image, by searching the area to be searched for the marker.

    Abstract: An image processing apparatus comprises processing circuitry configured to: acquire first image data that is representative of a subject at a first time and second image data that is representative of the subject at a second, different time; process the first image data and second image data to obtain a plurality of transformed first data sets and a plurality of transformed second data sets; transform the transformed first data sets and transformed second data sets to obtain respective first distance transforms and second distance transforms; select a combination of at least one of the first distance transforms and at least one of the second distance transforms; generate at least one morphed distance transform based on the combination; and process the at least one morphed distance transform to obtain upsampled image data that is representative of the subject at a third time.

    Abstract: An analysis device according to an embodiment includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry extracts, from medical image data, the shape of a blood vessel of a subject and the shape of a plaque formed in the blood vessel. Then, while changing a first-type timing in sequence, the processing circuitry calculates a mechanical index, which is related to the plaque at the first-type timing, based on the shape of the blood vessel and the shape of the plaque at the first-type timing. Subsequently, based on the mechanical index at the first-type timing, the processing circuitry predicts the shape of the plaque at a second-type timing that is the next timing to the first-type timing. Then, the processing circuitry displays, in a display unit, the predicted shape of the plaque at the time second-type at which the plaque reaches a specific condition.
