    Abstract: A sensor control apparatus includes a control unit, a plurality of sensors connected in series to the control unit. Each of the plurality of sensors includes a detector configured to perform a detection operation based on a first voltage applied from the control unit, a first switch provided on an application path for applying a voltage, a second switch provided on a supply path for supplying the voltage applied from the control unit to a sensor connected in a subsequent stage, and a conduction control unit. The control unit brings the first switch into conduction and cut off the second switch in a case where the voltage on the application path is the first voltage, and cuts off the first switch and bring the second switch into conduction in a case where the voltage on the application path is a second voltage.

    Abstract: There is provided an image reading apparatus including a reading unit configured to sequentially read respective pages of a target original consisting of a plurality of pages to generate read images, and a determining unit configured to determine whether there is a missing page in the read images. The determining unit is configured to determine whether there is a missing page in the read images by applying, to a learned model, determination data based on a pair of consecutively-generated read images of the target original. The learned model is a model that has been derived through machine teaming using input data based on image pairs of consecutive pages and image pairs of non-consecutive pages of the original for learning, and training data that indicates whether each image pair is a pair of consecutive pages.

    Abstract: An image forming system that is capable of causing an image forming apparatus to suitably carry out communication using a mobile communication system, the image forming system including an image processing apparatus and an image forming apparatus. Control information used to carry out an image forming process in which an image is formed on a sheet based on image data generated by an image processing apparatus is output from first and second millimeter wave communication interfaces of the image processing apparatus. The output control information is received by third and fourth millimeter wave communication interfaces of the image forming apparatus. Response information that is a response to the control information is output from the third and fourth millimeter wave communication interfaces and sent to the image processing apparatus.
