摘要： A threaded adaptor has a first end and an opposite second end of a generally hollow cylinder. At least one end has threading for connection to a hose or fitting and the ends form the male half of the connection. Centered upon the adaptor, a collar provides at least two faces for gripping of the adaptor by a tool. Within the adaptor, the two ends open into a smooth chamber that allows for uninterrupted fluid flow. To further seal the adaptor, at least one O-ring and at least one gasket are provided as alternate embodiments. In another alternate embodiment, the adaptor has one threaded end, an opposite barbed end with a clamp, and a collar with six faces. These two ends open into a chamber with a stepped diameter. The adaptor provides for flow of fluid with little turbulence.

To further seal the swivel to a hose or a fitting, at least one O-ring and at least one gasket are provided as alternative embodiments. In a further alternate embodiment, the swivel has a threaded second nut and an opposite barbed end on the first nut with a clip. The first nut has its chamber that constricts in diameter through a throat as it enters the second nut. The swivel in all embodiments provides for flow of fluid through it with little turbulence.

摘要： A breakaway coupling including a pair of sleeves, one sleeve fitting within the other, each sleeve provided with a connector body, and a hose connector secured partially with one of the connector bodies. The first sleeve holds a metal annulus, while the second sleeve secures a ring separator, generally counterbored, to secure a series of round magnets, so that when the sleeves and their connector bodies are brought together, they are secured by the magnets into connection, but that when an excessive force is encountered, the breakaway will separate, and prevent further discharge of fuel from the nozzle or its fuel line hose. Connecting with one of the connector bodies is a swivel connector, which can furnish a degree of pivot to the swivel, and its connected nozzle, or the hose, during usage. The swivel connector includes male and female portions, which provide for a degree of pivot, while the male portion further includes a swivel nut, which adds further turnability to the entire unit, during installation.

摘要： A safety breakaway connector begins with a body that receives a cooperating insert providing a coaxial flow path. The body has threads, a collar leading to an extension, and a hollow interior. The insert also has threads, a collar that leads to an inner wall, and a hollow interior. The inner wall fits snugly within the extension of the body. Generally, the insert simply slides into and interconnects with the body for quick installation. Two spaced apart biased check valves remain slightly outwardly from the narrow portions of the body and insert. A guard covers the body. Upon the application of the minimum force, the insert separates from the body, and the check valves abruptly close preventing further leakage of fuel. Alternatively, a strategically located O-ring or gasket seals the various components and withstands pressure variations.
