    摘要: Fixed parallel cargo rails are positioned on the cargo bed floor of an aircraft, spaced sufficiently to fit a pallet snugly therebetween. A plurality of collinear slots arranged along the length of the cargo bed floor are positioned just inboard of each rail. The slots are evenly spaced and oriented lengthwise with respect to the cargo bed floor. A dog extends above the cargo bed floor from each slot and is adapted to engage a notch in the cargo. While engaged, the dog is adapted to move along its slot, thereby moving the pallet lengthwise along the cargo bed floor. The pallet is passed bucket brigade style from one dog to the next.Another aspect of the invention is the employment of movable cargo rails on the cargo ramp. The rails are slidable widthwise across the ramp within mounting slots, thus permitting the spacing between the rails to vary. The result is that loading cargo onto the ramp and aligning it with the fixed cargo rails on the cargo bed floor is made much easier.

    摘要: A flue gas conditioning system generates sulfur trioxide which is injected into boiler flue gas to condition it by reducing the resistance of the particulate matter entrained in the flue gas. The conditioned flue gas is passed through an electrostatic precipitator which collects the particulate matter by electrostatic precipitation. The sulfur trioxide concentration in the flue gas is measured with a mass spectrometer downstream of where the sulfur trioxide was injected into the flue gas and upstream of the electrostatic precipitator. The concentration of the sulfur trioxide in the flue gas is measured with a mass spectrometer at a point where the injected sulfur trioxide has uniformly mixed with the flue gas. The measured sulfur trioxide concentration is used to control the flue gas conditioning system, such as by comparing the measured concentration to a desired concentration range and adjusting the amount of sulfur trioxide being injected into the flue gas accordingly.

    摘要: SO.sub.3 flue gas-condition systems (10) provide a controlled flow of flue gas-conditioning agent such as SO.sub.3 into a boiler flue gas and its entrained particulate material ahead of an electrostatic precipitator (14). The systems (10) monitor the opacity of the stack effluent and precipitator power and operate to maintain a flow of SO.sub.3 -conditioning agent into the boiler flue gas to provide minimal opacity of the stack effluent. The systems operate at SO.sub.3 -conditioning agent flow rate corresponding to minimal opacity of the stack effluent and to eliminate corrections that may be due to transient operating conditions such as boiler upsets, precipitator rapping and the like. The systems include features providing improved conversion of SO.sub.2 into SO.sub.3, integrated assemblies to provide a flow of SO.sub.2 and sulfur dioxide conversion units adapted to convert SO.sub.2 into SO.sub.3 at a plurality of remote SO.sub.3 injection sites.

    摘要: An air pollution control system for injecting a conditioning agent into the flue gas of a power generator. The conditioning agent changes the resistivity of particulate matter in the flue gas, rendering the particulate matter more easily able to accept an electrostatic charge. Control of the conditioning gas injection rate is monitored by periodically sampling the average input power supplied to the power supplies of the electrostatic flue gas conditioning system. A proportional-integral controller receives the signal representing the difference between the average input power and a predetermined threshold signal. The control signal produced by the proportional integral controller causes incremental changes in the rate at which the conditioning agent, such as SO.sub.3, is added to the flue gas.

    摘要: Apparatus and a method for increasing the speed of acquisition of PN coded signals includes a novel PN code clock extraction circuit which is coupled in parallel to a code tracking loop and acquisition loop of a PN receiver of the type having a replica PN code generator which is slip controlled to synchronize with the received PN coded signals. The novel PN code clock extraction circuit detects the clock transition of the received PN coded signals and synchronized the replica PN code generator clock transition signals so that there is no misalignment during acquisition. A switch control in the acquisition loop circuit senses the synchronization of the replica PN code generator transition and the received PN code transition and disconnects the PN code clock extraction circuit after synchronization of clock transition and before acquisition of the PN code so that the acquisition loop detects the PN code synchronization with a full strength signal.
