Abstract:
Performing measurement of a first RAT while connected to a second RAT. The UE may initially communicate with a base station of the second RAT. While maintaining a connection to the base station of the first RAT, the UE may perform base station measurement of the first RAT (e.g., using a single radio of the UE). However, the measurement of the first RAT may be influenced by various factors, such as signal quality metrics of the second RAT. For example, if signal quality metrics are high for the second RAT, measurement of the first RAT may not be desirable, e.g., for battery life reasons.
Abstract:
Manipulating modulation and coding scheme (MCS) allocation after a communication interruption. A UE device may resume communications with a BS after a communication interruption. First channel quality information may be generated and transmitted to the BS. A first MCS allocation, which may be based at least in part on the first channel quality information, may be received from the BS. Second channel quality information may be generated and transmitted to the BS, where the second channel quality information is modified by an offset configured to modify a second MCS allocation.
Abstract:
QoS based uplink data buffering while TTI bundling is enabled by a wireless user equipment (UE) device. The UE may establish a packet-switched connection with a network via a wireless link. The UE may receive, at a media access control (MAC) layer, an indication to enable TTI bundling. The UE may selectively buffer uplink data at an application layer based on the indication to enable TTI bundling. The uplink data may be buffered selectively based on Quality of Service (QoS) considerations. Uplink transmissions may subsequently be performed using TTI bundling.
Abstract:
A method is disclosed where a user equipment (“UE”) determines a value of a first parameter and determines a value of a second parameter to select a regularization method for correlation estimate values based on the first parameter value and the second parameter value.
