The housing may include a first housing component including a cladding portion formed from a first metal and defining a first portion of a side exterior surface of the mobile phone, and a core portion coupled to the cladding portion, the core portion defining a portion of an interior surface of the mobile phone and formed from a second metal different from the first metal, a second housing component defining a second portion of the side exterior surface of the mobile phone, and a joint structure coupled to the first housing component and the second housing component and defining a third portion of the side exterior surface of the mobile phone between the first portion of the side exterior surface and the second portion of the side exterior surface. The cladding portion may be bonded directly to the core portion.

    摘要： An electronic device that includes a vision system carried by a bracket assembly is disclosed. The vision system may include a first camera module that captures an image of an object, a light emitting element that emits light rays toward the object, and a second camera module that receives light rays reflected from the object. The light rays may include infrared light rays. The bracket assembly is designed not only carry the aforementioned modules, but to also maintain a predetermined and fixed separation between the modules. The bracket assembly may form a rigid, multi-piece bracket assembly to prevent bending, thereby maintaining the predetermined separation. The electronic device may include a transparent cover designed to couple with a housing. The transparent cover includes an alignment module designed to engage a module and provide a moving force that aligns the bracket assembly and the modules to a desired location in the housing.

    摘要： An electronic device having a display assembly and housing is disclosed. Several layers may combine to form the display assembly including a display layer. The display assembly can also include a support structure. The display layer may have a planar portion configured to present visual information and a curved portion. The display assembly can additionally include a transverse support member that extends away from the curved portion. The transverse support member may have a central portion that is coupled to at least the curved portion and at least one end portion coupled to the support structure. The transverse support member can define at least one separate load path capable of transferring a corresponding load from the display layer to the support structure.

    摘要： Portable electronic devices having I/O assemblies that can include optical and audio components are described. An exemplary I/O assembly can include a first camera module and a second camera module that can be carried within a camera module housing. A flex connector can carry a strobe that can be positioned between the first camera module and the second camera module. A trim can enclose the first camera, the second camera and the strobe and optically isolates the optical components. An exemplary portable electronic device can include a side wall retainer that defines its perimeter, a front cover glass and a rear cover glass that cooperate to form an enclosure. The I/O assembly can be secured to the enclosure both from inside and outside of the rear cover glass. I/O assembly can also include an audio transducer that can record sound when the camera module are recording videos.
