Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for utilizing sensor data to automatically determine the results of events within a system. Upon receiving sensor data indicative of an event, the techniques may analyze the sensor data to determine a result of the event, such as that a particular user associated with a user identifier selected a particular item associated with an item identifier. Contents of a virtual shopping cart of the user may be maintained based on this automated analysis of sensor data. In some instances, when a confidence level associated with a result is less than a threshold, the sensor data may be sent to a client computing device for analysis by a human user.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for generating implicit user ratings for a media item. A ratings analyzer tracks user interaction with a network content server configured to present a media item to a plurality of users and then generates an interaction history for each user based at least upon corresponding user interaction with the media item presented by the network content server. A user interaction metric may be generated based at least upon each interaction history associated with the plurality of users and a user interface may be encoded for display where the user interface comprises the user interaction metric.
