Abstract: A technology is described for a load time updatable driver. An example method may include presenting a driver interface to a computing instance launched in a computing service environment that enables the computing instance to interact with a virtualized resource, where the driver interface is an interface to driver functionality that enables the computing instance to interact with the virtualized resource via a hypervisor. Context information for the computing instance may be obtained and the context information may be used to identify a driver image for the virtualized resource that enables the computing instance to interact with the virtualized resource. The driver image for the virtualized resource may be obtained and the driver image may be loaded into computer memory and registered with the driver interface.

Abstract: A computing resources service provider may provide customers with access to virtual computing resources to execute various applications on behalf of the customer. There may be occasional impairment to the virtual computing resources. These impairments may be detected in log information obtained by an impairment detection service. Furthermore, the impairment detection service may obtain additional information associated with the virtual computing resources. The log information and additional information may be correlated to determine one or more relevant factors in the impairments.

Abstract: A service provider launches an index analysis computing system instance to evaluate indexes generated by a virtual computing system server to identify events encountered by the server. In response to a notification from an index subject indicating presence of a new index for the server, the index analysis computing system instance obtains the index from a datastore and evaluates the index to identify a log for the server that specifies data that can be used to identify the events. The index analysis computing system instance obtains, from a second datastore, the identified log and used the log to identify the events. The index analysis computing system instance provides event data corresponding to the events to a data processing datastore where the data can be aggregated and processed.

Abstract: This disclosure describes a system and process for altering the presentation of data items to enable efficient presentation of large sets of data items. For example, if a data set includes 40,000 data items that are to be rendered as points at different geographic locations on a map, such as a map of the United States, rather than trying to render all 40,000 data items, the implementations described herein will process the data set to reduce the amount of data items that will be presented without losing the information that is visually provided.

Abstract: A notification of an event associated with a computing instance provided to customers of a computing resource service provider is obtained. Log information associated with the computing instance is obtained from a log of operations of the computing instance, with the log information indicating events associated with the computing instance. Pattern matching on the log information is performed to produce a pattern matching result. The computing instance is determined to be impaired based at least in part on the pattern matching result including indications of impairment. A mitigation operation is performed to the computing instance to mitigate the impairment.
