摘要: The present invention relates to a particle of modified silica which comprises a particle of silica which is covalently linked to at least one halohydrin moiety. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a method of preparing the particle of modified silica, a particle of modified silica obtained by such method, use of the particle of modified silica as a stationary phase for chromatography, as well as a separation column for chromatography comprising the particle of modified silica.

摘要: The invention relates to a process for the manufacture of thermally expandable thermoplastic microspheres. The process comprises, providing a mixture of monomeric materials suitable for polymerisation to form a thermoplastic polymer and at least one blowing agent, providing to the mixture a colloidal silica that is surface-modified with at least hydrophobic organosilane groups and forming an emulsion. A polymerisation is performed to form the thermally expandable thermoplastic microspheres. The invention further relates to thermally expandable thermoplastic micro spheres, expanded micro spheres and their use in the manufacture of products.

摘要: Methylsilyl derivatized silica particles are disclosed. The methylsilyl derivatized silica particles have a methylsilyl content in a range of between 1-6 μmol m−2 on a surface of the silica particles. Colloidal silica comprising the methylsilyl derivatized silica particles is also disclosed. Methods for the manufacture of the methylsilyl derivatized silica particles are disclosed. Kits for coatings comprising the methylsilyl derivatized silica particles are also disclosed.
