Abstract:
A tube joint for a fuel tank includes a joint body having a tubular shape, and a barrier layer covering the inner surface of the joint body. The joint body is formed of a material which is weldable to a tank body, and the barrier layer is formed of a material which has fuel impermeability and a predetermined hardness. The barrier layer has an extension portion extending from a distal end of the joint body along an axial direction of the joint body. The extension portion includes a projecting portion which protrudes radially and outwardly of the extension portion at or adjacent to a proximal end of the extension portion such that a seal groove is formed between the projecting portion and the joint body, and a nail portion which protrudes radially and outwardly of the extension portion at or adjacent to a distal end of the extension portion.

Abstract:
A sealing structure of a fuel tank includes: a hollow circular cylinder part, having an inner circumferential part, formed near opening of the fuel tank to extend outward; a cap body having a hollow cylindrical part inserted into the inner circumferential part to face the inner circumferential part; and a seal member disposed between the inner circumferential part and the hollow cylindrical part. A protruding part is provided on an outer circumferential side of the hollow circular cylinder part of the fuel tank. A locking part formed on an outer circumferential part of the cap body and the protruding parts are fixed.
Abstract:
A fuel feed apparatus includes a lid member that plugs an opening of a fuel tank. A protruding member protrudes from the lid member into an inside of the fuel tank. A sub-tank is accommodated in the fuel tank. The sub-tank is axially movable relative to the lid member. A pump module is accommodated in the sub-tank. The pump module includes a fuel pump and a fuel filter. The fuel pump pumps fuel from the fuel tank. The fuel filter circumferentially surrounds the fuel pump for removing foreign matters contained in fuel discharged from the fuel pump. A supporting member connects the pump module with the sub-tank. The supporting member extends inwardly with respect to a substantially radial direction of the sub-tank. The supporting member defines a recess on a side of the lid member. The protruding member is adapted to be inserted in the recess.

Abstract:
A lid member includes a tubular section housed inside an opening section, an external flange section closing the tubular section and extending therefrom across an outer boundary, and a seal-member mounting section extending downward from the edge of the external flange section and having a seal member. A flange-equipped sleeve includes a sleeve section attached to a neck section and an internal flange section extended from the sleeve section across the outer boundary and attached to an inner wall of the tank body. The flange-equipped sleeve contains a resin having a higher heat-resistant temperature than a resin constituting the tank body. When the lid member closes the opening section, the tubular section is housed inside the sleeve section. The external flange section contacts the top of the neck section and the sleeve section. An inner circumference of the seal member is attached to the outer boundary of the neck section.

A supporting structure for a fuel tank in a vehicle includes a suspension arm fixing structure provided under the floor of a vehicle body and having a statically sufficient rigidity, the fuel tank being located so as to partially overlap the suspension arm fixing structure in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and a supporting member provided under the fuel tank so as to extend in the lateral direction of the vehicle being detachably fastened to the suspension arm fixing structure to bring the fuel tank into pressure contact with the floor of the vehicle body by fixing the fuel tank. The supporting member serves also as a reinforcing member for imparting rigidity to the suspension arm fixing structure so that the suspension arm fixing structure can sufficiently sustain a dynamic load during running of the vehicle.
Abstract:
Provided are foamed aromatic polyester-based resin particles for in-mold foam molding that have a long shelf life after production and can be used to produce an in-mold foam molded product having high mechanical strength and good appearance. The foamed aromatic polyester-based resin particles for in-mold foam molding contain an aromatic polyester-based resin and are characterized in that the content of residual carbon dioxide 7 hours after the particles are impregnated with carbon dioxide for 24 hours under the conditions of 25° C. and 1 MPa is 5% by weight or more.
