    Abstract: Mesh art positioning techniques as part of digital content creation by a graphics editing application of a computing device are described. The graphics editing application is configured to obtain lists of vertices that are used to form mesh art. This list may then be used by a snapping module of graphics editing application to generate a snap point list that is used as a basis for mesh art positioning in relation to other objects within an item of digital content. Techniques are also described to address color diffusion within the mesh art, such as to identify a vertex that is a source of color diffusion and a boundary of color diffusion within the mesh art. The source and/or outer boundary of color diffusion within the mesh is then used as a basis to control mesh art positioning by the graphics editing application.

In an implementation, a relationship is detected of a user input as drawn within a user interface with respect at least one shape displayed within the user interface. Based on this relationship, a shape building operation is identified from a plurality of shape building operations. The relationship is also used to determine at least one shape that is to be subject of the identified shape building operation.     Abstract: In implementations of freeform gradient style blending, a blending system detects a first color point at a first location in digital content, the first color point at least partially defining color diffusion of a first freeform gradient of a first object. The system identifies a second location in the digital content with respect to a second freeform gradient of a second object based on the first location. The system detects a second color point of a plurality of color points that at least partially define color diffusion of the second freeform gradient, the detecting based on a proximity of the second color point to the second location. A blend object of the first and second objects is generated by interpolating the first color point and the second color point.

    Abstract: In implementations of freeform gradient style transfer, a style transfer system transfers a style of a freeform gradient of a source geometry of an object to a target geometry of an additional object. The system adds source mesh handles to a boundary of a source mesh of the object, and the system also adds target mesh handles to a boundary of a target mesh of the additional object. The source mesh handles are mapped to the target mesh handles, and the system warps the source mesh to appear as the target mesh based on the mapping. Color point locations of the freeform gradient are mapped from the source mesh to the warped source mesh to transfer the freeform gradient style from the source geometry of the object to the target geometry of the additional object.
