Abstract: The disclosure generally relates to a mattress thermal management system, for example a mattress cooling and/or heating system and in particular a suction- and/or discharge-based cooling and/or heating system. Deck-mounted fans beneath a mattress operate in various embodiments to induce a uniform suction flow, a uniform discharge flow, and/or a combined suction/discharge (circulating) flow that enhances the cooling and/or heating rate of the mattress. Mattress-mounted heating units can be included. The mattress thermal management system can be incorporated into a conventional mattress/bed system or into an adjustable bed system.

Abstract: The disclosure generally relates to a vibration motor assembly. The vibration motor assembly includes a vibration motor, at least one flexible connector adapted to suspend the vibration motor from a bed frame support surface, and a controller adapted to control the vibration motor. The vibration motor assembly further includes an attachment means for attaching the flexible connector to the bed frame support surface and/or an attachment means for attaching the controller to the bed frame support surface or a corresponding bed facility. The vibration motor assembly can be provided in the form of a kit including the vibration motor, the flexible connector(s), the controller, and optionally a remote control and/or further mounting elements for attaching the flexible connector(s) and/or the controller to a bed frame support surface, such as part of an adjustable bed facility or a fixed bed facility which can further include a mattress supported thereon.

Abstract: The disclosure generally relates to an adjustable foundation or bed, in particular having a tri-fold adjustable foundation. Three segments of the adjustable foundation, including a mattress support surface with three deck support sections and a subframe with three longitudinal support sections, are foldable/rotatable around two opposing pivot axes such that the three segments can be positioned in a folded, overlapping configuration that is convenient for shipping/transportation, having substantially smaller maximum dimensions than the adjustable foundation in a flat, non-folded configuration. The folded adjustable foundation can be conveniently unfolded and locked into a flat, non-folded configuration suitable for use to support a mattress and a person sleeping/resting thereon.

Abstract: The disclosure generally relates to an adjustable foundation and bed, in particular having a low vertical profile while maintaining a full range of motion for articulation of its various deck support sections. In various embodiments, a deck support section of an adjustable bed can include an open area in the deck support surface. The open area is positioned relative to an actuator mounted beneath the deck support section and support surface such that a portion of the actuator occupies the open area during at least some of the normal range of motion of the actuator and corresponding deck support section. The additional space provided by the open area allows inclusion of an otherwise bulky actuator mechanical component in a vertically smaller space, permitting the adjustable bed to have an overall lower vertical profile.
