Abstract: The invention relates to a mold-closing unit for an injection molding machine for processing plastics, comprising a mold-moving device for moving the movable mold support into and out of closure of an injection mold. At least one force transmission element is connected to the movable mold support and at its end remote from the movable mold support has a section (14a) which is assigned to the stationary mold support. The stationary mold support (10) is assigned a locking device (15) having a plurality of locking elements (70) which can be moved into interlocking operative connection with the actuatable section (14a). The locking device (15) has at least one actuator (16) which is movable in the closing direction (s-s) and on which, during movement of the actuator, the locking elements (70) are movable transversely to the closing direction (s-s) along a sliding block guide (60) in and out of an interlocking operative connection with the actuatable section (14a). The actuator is at the same time connected to at least one piston (18) of a piston-cylinder unit (17) for applying the closing force.

Abstract: The invention relates to a mould clamp for an injection moulding machine, comprising a device for automatically adapting to the mould height of injection moulds (13) of different heights (a). A clamping device supported on an adjustable supporting element (21) is provided for moving a movable mould carrier (11) in the clamping direction (s-s) towards and away from the stationary mould carrier (10). A distance (x) between the stationary mould carrier (10) and the adjustable supporting element (21) can be adjusted by moving the supporting element, by means of a mould height adjustment system (14). A locking device (16) detachably locks the supporting element (21) in the respective position thereof, by pretensioning locking elements. A dynamically actuatable mould height adjustment system is produced by the locking elements being selectively relieved or pre-tensioned by active actuating elements, the pretension being cancelled in order to release the mould height adjustment system (14).

Abstract: A mould-closing unit for an injection moulding machine for processing plastics has a mould support which is movable relative to a stationary mould support (10). A mould-moving device is provided to move the movable mould support into and out of closure of an injection mould. At least one force transmission element is connected to the movable mould support and at its end remote from the movable mould support has a section (14a) which is assigned to the stationary mould support (10) and can be actuated for operative engagement. The stationary mould support (10) is assigned a locking device (15), which can be moved into interlocking operative connection with the actuatable section (14a) to apply a closing force during closure of the injection mould. According to the method, these elements are used to create a method for locking a force transmission element to a mould support of the injection moulding machine. The fact that the locking device (15) has floating clamping jaws (16) which can be moved into interlocking operative connection with the actuatable section (14a) during closure of the mould to lock the force transmission element and the stationary mould support (10) and at the same time are connected to at least one piston (18) of a piston-cylinder unit (17) for applying the closing force, means that a mould-closing unit is created in which the locking mechanism for locking the tie bars to the mould support is integrated in a common unit with the unit for applying the closing force.

Abstract: A mold closing unit for an injection molding machine for processing plastics and other compounds that can be plasticized, including at least one machine bed, at least one stationary platen, and at least one platen that can be moved relative to the stationary platen by a drive mechanism, where the movable platen can be moved on a slide having guide shoes along at least one guide attached to the machine bed, and the drive mechanism has at least one gear rack drive driven by at least one drive motor, whereby, because at least two gear racks are fixedly connected to the machine bed and because the drive motor is fixedly connected to the slide and, in the event of a movement of the movable platen, the occurrence of tilting torques are reduced and safe operation of the mold closing unit is ensured.

Abstract: A mould closing unit (100) for an injection-moulding machine has an electromechanical closing mechanism (M) for opening and closing an injection mould, said electromechanical closing mechanism (M) being actuated by means of at least one spindle unit (10) having at least one spindle (12) and at least one spindle nut (14). Cooling by way of cooling ducts (32) for heat dissipation from the spindle unit (10) is provided. Since the spindle (12) has, in the core, at least one bore (24) in which a cooling and/or lubricating medium is passed into the region of the contact points between the spindle nut (14) and the spindle (12) via at least one lance (20), efficient cooling of the spindle unit is achieved.
