摘要: Various systems and methods disclosed herein describe improvements for beam management that leverage virtualization across a vertical polarization (V-Pol) and horizontal polarization (H-Pol). One or more of a user equipment (UE) and a base station may include an antenna array comprising both V-Pol and H-Pol antenna elements. A UE may message a base station to configure uplink (UL) multiple input multiple output (MIMO) operations across one or more of the V-Pol and the H-Pol. The message may include a number of MIMO layers to be concurrently used for communicating data to the base station, where each MIMO layer is transmitted using one of a V-Pol and an H-Pol; a number of sounding reference signals (SRS) to be transmitted by the UE, each SRS to be transmitted using one of the V-Pol and the H-Pol; and a supported maximum number of antenna ports per each SRS.

摘要: A device, system and method for a user equipment (UE) to report a network resource and capability state to a network for coordinating network resource allocations. The UE is configured to establish a first connection to a first network based on a first subscriber identity module (SIM) of the UE and further configured to establish a second connection to a second network based on a second SIM of the UE. The method includes determining an upcoming first change of a state of the UE with respect to the first connection and transmitting, to the first network, an indication of the first change of state of the UE. The method further includes changing the state of the UE with respect to the first connection.

摘要: A user equipment (UE) is configured to establish network connections for long-term evolution (LTE) and new radio (NR) radio access technologies (RATS) in non-standalone (NSA) E-UTRA-NR dual connectivity (ENDC) operation. The UE includes a multi-antenna array for data and signaling transmissions and receptions over the LTE and NR connections. The UE determines a most efficient antenna of the multi-antenna array for an operating frequency band of the LTE and NR connections, wherein the most efficient antenna is determined based on at least one performance factor for the UE when using the antenna compared to other antennas of the multi-antenna array, evaluates one or more factors for determining whether the LTE RAT or the NR RAT is to use the most efficient antenna and transmits uplink data on the most efficient antenna via either the LTE RAT or the NR RAT based on the evaluated factors.

The methods include receiving a measurement configuration request from a network, in response to the measurement configuration request, measuring a quality of one or more uplink (UL) carrier aggregation (CA) combinations, wherein each UL CA combination comprises a plurality of component carriers, generating a message that includes the quality of the one or more UL CA combinations and transmitting the message to the network. 摘要: Some aspects of this disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for implementing downlink transmission and interlace uplink transmission. For example, some aspects of this disclosure relate to a base station including a transceiver configured to communicate over a wireless network with a user equipment (UE) and a processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver. The processor divides a plurality of candidate Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) positions in a time window into a plurality of groups and communicates, using the transceiver, information associated with the plurality of groups of candidate SSB positions to the UE. The processor further performs a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure. In response to the LBT procedure being successful, the processor determines a first group of the plurality of groups and transmits, using the transceiver, one or more SSBs on one or more candidate SSB positions of the first group to the UE.

摘要: Some embodiments include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for using group based reporting for beam management in a 5G wireless communications system. A user equipment (UE) can determine based on a signal-to-interference-plus noise ratio (SINR) or reference signal received power (RSRP) measurement, a ranking of two or more beam combinations, and transmit the ranking to a 5G node B (gNB). The UE can receive from the gNB, a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) codepoint that identifies a combination of two or more beams, where the TCI codepoint is based at least on the ranking. The UE can receive simultaneous transmissions via the combination, and transmit a report to the gNB that identifies by the TCI codepoint, SINRs that corresponds to the combination. In some embodiments the UE can simultaneously transmit on a second combination identified by a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource indicator (SRI) codepoint.
