    Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for a user equipment (UE) to determine to use a shared resource such as an antenna to access a land based wireless communication system or a satellite communication system. The UE can provide a first priority indication to indicate whether to access the land based wireless communication system based on one or more wireless link metrics of the land based wireless communication system or one or more application metrics for applications using the land based wireless communication system; and provide a second priority indication to indicate whether to access the satellite wireless communication system based on one or more service metrics provided by the satellite wireless communication system. The UE can determine to use the shared resources to access the land based wireless communication system or the satellite communication system based on the first priority indication and the second priority indication.

    Abstract: Embodiments described herein include methods and apparatus for dynamically selecting antenna settings for reception of wireless signals in multiple radio frequency band by wireless devices. A wireless device includes at least two SIM/eSIM profiles that each use different radio frequency bands and dynamically selects an antenna tuner setting based on requirements of one or more applications in use and key radio frequency performance indicators. In some embodiments, the antenna hardware tuner setting is selected to improve paging reception for a secondary SIM/eSIM from a second cellular wireless network when applications communicating using a first SIM/eSIM via a first cellular wireless network can accommodate performance degradation for a period of time.

    Abstract: An electronic device receives an indication of a number of physical resource blocks and subcarrier spacing of at least a portion of a transmission channel and determines a dynamic transmission bandwidth, or receives an indication of a modulation coding scheme of the transmission channel and determines a modulation order. The electronic device transmits, using a transmitter, a signal over at least the portion of the transmission channel based on the dynamic transmission bandwidth being less than or equal to a threshold bandwidth, or the modulation order not corresponding to an additional power backoff, using a first power based on a maximum output power capacity of the electronic device and a maximum power reduction. Otherwise, the electronic device transmits the signal over at least the portion of the transmission channel at a second power based on the maximum output power capacity, the maximum power reduction and the additional power backoff.
