    Abstract: Techniques are described for presenting data received from a headless device in an application served from distributed computing device(s), and using the application to generate data for configuring and registering the headless device. The headless device may have limited or absent display capabilities and the data may be employed to configure the headless device for wireless communication with other devices. The application may execute on a user device that communicates with the headless device over a wireless access point incorporated into the headless device. The data received from the headless device may be integrated into the application provided by the distributed computing devices(s), to enable updates to the appearance or user experience of the application without updating software on the headless device.

    Abstract: In some cases, a scanner of a handheld electronic device may be used to capture a registration identifier (e.g., a registration barcode), and connection information (e.g., one or more wireless credentials) may be determined by scanning the registration barcode. In some cases, the connection information may be stored in a memory of the handheld electronic device and may be used to establish a Wi-Fi connection with a wireless access point (WAP). In some cases, the registration barcode may be translated into multiple screen frames that may be presented in a screen frame sequence via a user interface displayed via a display of an electronic device that is different from the handheld electronic device. The scanner may directly capture the individual frames in the sequence via the display of the other electronic device.

    Abstract: Devices, methods, and systems for improving the customer experience and simplifying the purchase of items are disclosed. In general the devices, methods, and systems allow a customer to speak a name or type of item, or scan a code (such as a barcode) of an item, and the item is automatically added to a shopping cart of the customer. For example, speech recognition and machine learning techniques may be used to process audio input and identify potential products relating to the input. When there is a high confidence that an identified product is the product the customer intended to purchase, the identified product is automatically added to the customer's shopping cart. When the confidence is not high enough, a list of potential products may be generated and added to the customer's shopping cart. The customer may then select the intended product right from the list in the shopping cart.

    Abstract: In some cases, a delivery service system may include a handheld electronic device for use with a delivery service (e.g., a grocery delivery service). When operating in a voice input mode, the handheld electronic device may record and store audio data in memory.
