    摘要: A bellows-form boot for universal joint which is formed integrally of a le-diameter cylindrical portion and a small-diameter cylindrical portion at both ends, the former being adapted to be fitted to a joint case housing therein the universal joint and the latter to a driving shaft, a central annular bellows portion having ridge portions whose diameters are tapered down toward the small-diameter portion, and a bracing boss portion extending between the large-diameter portion and the bellows portion. The boss portion has a wall thickness of 2 to 3 times the average wall thickness of the bellows portion and is profiled so that the inner face thereof may abuttingly contact with the edge face of the joint case and the outer face thereof is flush with the outer face of the bellows portion in the mutual joining area. The bellows portion has, at its zone adjacent to the boss portion extending from the end to the crest of the first ridge portion thereof, wall thicknesses gradually increasing from the latter to the former, whose maximum is a half the wall thickness of the boss portion.

    摘要: In a sliding-type tripod constant velocity joint establishing angular contact between each raceway groove of an outer ring and each roller, the section shape in a radial direction of each raceway groove is formed to an arc shape made by a first curvature radius centered at a first position. Longitudinal section shapes of first and second contact regions on the roller are formed to respective convex curves made respectively by second and third curvature radii which are respectively centered at a second position differing from the first position and a third position differing from the first position and the second position and which are smaller than the first curvature radius. A longitudinal section shape between the first contact region and the second contact region of the roller has a gap relative to the raceway groove.

    摘要: An outer ring shaft portion which is extended integrally from an end face of an outer ring of a constant velocity joint is fittingly inserted into an inside hole in a hub shaft of a wheel hub, so that the wheel hub and the constant velocity joint are coupled to each other. Internal splines and external splines are formed on an inner circumferential surface of the inside hole in the hub shaft and an outer circumferential surface of the outer ring shaft portion in such a manner as to mesh with each other. Side face splines are formed on end face of the hub shaft and an end face of the outer ring of the constant velocity joint. The wheel hub and the constant velocity joint are connected together in such a manner that torque can be transmitted therebetween.

    摘要: A clamp band which includes a strip member having an intermediate portion formed to substantially conform to the outline of an article to be fastened and two ends projected outward from the intermediate portion and a lever member welded to the two ends of the strip member. One of the two ends of the strip member extends approximately tangentially from the intermediate portion and the other extends to make an acute angle. The lever member is welded to the outside of the end located nearer the intermediate portion of the these ends when two ends of the strip member are brought down. The lever member is formed to contact closely an outer peripheral surface of the strip member and has high hardness edge portions extending longitudinally thereof.
