The present invention provides a weather resistant thermoplastic resin with low gloss and a method of preparing the same. The thermoplastic resin of the present invention comprises a (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester-based polymer (A) and a (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester-based oligomeric prepolymer (B), and an aromatic vinyl-cyanide vinyl based copolymer (C), wherein the (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester-based polymer (A) and the (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester-based oligomeric prepolymer (B) form a network-shaped disperse phase and the aromatic vinyl-cyanide vinyl based copolymer (C) forms a continuous phase.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a thermoplastic resin composition which comprises (A) a (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester-based polymer forming a network-shaped disperse phase; and (B) an aromatic vinyl-cyanide vinyl based copolymer forming a continuous phase. The thermoplastic resin composition of the present invention can have an excellent low gloss characteristics while maintaining basic physical properties of a weather resistance, impact strength, thermal resistance, and delamination characteristics.
Abstract:
A polyamide resin produced by polymerization of an aliphatic diamine monomer mixture (A) and polyester resin (B) is disclosed. The aliphatic diamine monomer mixture (A) includes an aliphatic diamine monomer (a1) having 2 to 6 carbon atoms, and an aliphatic diamine monomer (a2) having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, with the proviso that (a1) and (a2) are different and have a different number of carbon atoms. A method to produce the polyamide resin is also disclosed. The polyamide resin can have excellent heat resistance, low hygroscopic property and good color.

A method of preparing a styrene polymer-silica nanocomposite is disclosed. One embodiment of the method includes polymerizing about 100 parts by weight of a monomer mixture including about 50 to about 80% by weight of an aromatic monomer and about 20 to about 50% by weight of a vinyl cyanide monomer with about 0.5 to about 30 parts by weight of a colloidal silica dispersed in a first organic solvent.

Disclosed herein is a non-glossy rubber modified aromatic vinyl-vinyl cyanide copolymer and a method for continuously preparing the same. The copolymer comprises about 80 to about 93% by weight of an aromatic vinyl-vinyl cyanide copolymer grafted onto about 7 to about 20% by weight of a diene-based rubber, and a dispersed phase of the copolymer has an average rubber particle diameter of about 6 to about 20 μm and a span of about 1.2 to about 2.8.

One aspect of the invention relates to a transparent ABS resin composition having excellent impact resistance and flowability, which comprises about 10 to about 50 parts by weight of a rubber/(meth)acrylate-aromatic vinyl-unsaturated nitrile graft copolymer; about 50 to about 90 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin matrix; and about 0.2 to about 0.5 parts by weight of a fluidizer, per 100 parts by weight of a base resin comprising the rubber/(meth)acrylate-aromatic vinyl-unsaturated nitrile graft copolymer and the thermoplastic resin matrix.

The thermoplastic resin composition comprises (A) about 80 to about 95% by weight of a terpolymer of (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester-aromatic vinyl-cyanide vinyl compound; and (B) about 5 to about 20% by weight of a butadiene rubber.
