摘要： A liquid crystal display device and driving method thereof is disclosed, which is capable of removing afterimages from a screen when a power source is turned-off, the liquid crystal display device comprising a liquid crystal panel including a plurality of pixels defined by a plurality of gate and data lines crossing each other; a gate driver for driving the gate lines; a data driver for charging the pixels with analog video signals through the data lines; and a discharging unit for discharging voltage from the pixels by controlling the output of gate driver to make all the gate lines being divisionally driven or to make all the gate lines being driven at the same time when a power source is turned-off.

摘要： An liquid crystal display (LCD) device includes an LCD panel provided with a plurality of pixels, wherein the pixels are defined by a plurality of gate and data lines formed perpendicularly, an auxiliary storage capacitor formed in each of the pixels, a gate driver to drive the gate lines in sequence by supplying a scan pulse voltage to the gate lines of the LCD panel, wherein the scan pulse voltage is comprised of a high gate voltage and a low gate voltage, and a discharger to supply a pulse voltage to the gate line based on a source voltage for operating the LCD panel, wherein the discharger enables the auxiliary storage capacitor to be discharged to the ground voltage as the voltage of the gate line approaches the ground voltage.
