摘要： The present invention relates to a loaded particle comprising at least one fluorescent dye, and in particular, a fluorescent dye with a large Stokes shift. The invention further relates to a method for producing an loaded latex particle, loaded with a fluorescent dye having a large stokes shift. In addition, the present invention relates to latex particles loaded with fluorescent dyes that are organic solvent soluble and insoluble in water. In a preferred embodiment, when the dyes are loaded into the water soluble latex particle, an increase is observed in quantum yield of fluorescence as compared to the quantum yield of the dye in aqueous solvent.

摘要： Roughly described, a database searching method for searching a database, in which hits are ranked in dependence upon an information measure of itoms shared by both the hit and the query. The information measure can be a Shannon information score, or another measure which indicates the information value of the shared itoms. An itom can be a word or other token, or a multi-word phrase, and can overlap with each other. Synonyms can be substituted for itoms in the query, with the information measure of substituted itoms being derated in accordance with a predetermined measure of the synonyms' similarity. Indirect searching methods are described in which hit from other search engines are re-ranked in dependence upon the information measures of shared itoms. Structured and completely unstructured databases may be searched, with hits being demarcated dynamically. Hits may be clustered based upon distances in an information-measure-weighted distance space.

摘要： The invention is a method for textual searching of text-based databases including databases of compiled internet content, scientific literature, abstracts for books and articles, newspapers, journals, and the like. Specifically, the algorithm supports searches using full-text or webpage as query and keyword searches allowing multiple entries and an information-content based ranking system (Shannon Information score) that uses p-values to represent the likelihood that a hit is due to random matches. Additionally, users can specify the parameters that determine hits and their ranking with scoring based on phrase matches and sentence similarities.

摘要： A container inspection equipment with cobalt-60 γ-ray source and cesium iodide or cadmium tungstate detector includes a cobalt-60 γ-ray source, a cask, a front collimator, a rear collimator, a cesium iodide or cadmium tungstate detector, signal and image processing systems, container trailer system, and automatic control system. The cask of the cobalt-60 γ-ray source, the beam shutter, and the front collimator are fixed on the same chassis to form an integration and placed in the source room. The rear collimator, cesium iodide or cadmium tungstate array detector and the radiation catcher are fixed on the same chassis to form an integration and placed in the detector room. A container inspection tunnel is formed between the source room and the detector room. The equipment is mainly used for inspecting smuggling goods and contrabands etc., in large containers, container trucks, train carriage and air containers. The equipment either can be installed in the sea port and land frontier customs or installed at the air port, vital communication line, and railway station.
