    摘要: We describe devices, methods, and systems used for hair removal. In particular, we describe hair removal devices, particularly epilation devices, methods of using those devices, and systems including those hair removal devices. Our hair removal devices include, in combination, a.) at least one primary energy source that applies that energy, e.g., radio-frequency (RF), high intensity focused ultrasonic (HIFU) energy, or high intensity light, e.g., intense-pulsed light (IPL) or light from flash lamps or lasers, to the skin or to hair in a continuous, semi-continuous, or pulsed mode and b.) a hair removal component or components, such as rotary mechanical hair removal structures or epilators, that perform a mechanical hair removal step. Auxiliary treatment or control components such as comparatively lower power heaters, ultrasound devices, coolers, impedance measurement devices, etc. may also be included in the combination or used in conjunction with our combination device.

    摘要: Disclosed is an article designed to attenuate intensive and unwanted light emitted by an IPL or laser device that may occasionally reach the eyes of a user or operator, while not limiting their ability to see in a bright region. Eye protection is achieved by an assembly of baffles extending towards the source of IPL. The baffles limit the field of view of the article to a value sufficient for coupling a safe amount of light intensity enabling comfortable IPL or laser applicator tracking and operation.

The method includes: determining a focus scheme in response to: a spatial relationship between an upper surface of at least a first portion of a substantially transparent upper layer of an inspected object and between an upper surface of at least a first portion of a reflective layer of the inspected object; wherein the reflective layer is positioned below the transparent upper layer, and a position of at least one height differentiated narrow feature of inspected object; wherein during a scan of each height differentiated narrow feature a focus error signal change rate well exceeds a focus correction rate of a focus error correction unit; and applying the focus scheme while scanning at least a portion of the inspected object.

    摘要: An apparatus enabling a casual user in a residential set-up to perform himself almost every skin treatment procedure by using a variety of modules that may be inserted into an infrastructure frame. The apparatus presents a docking station and an applicator. The applicator simultaneously receives only two types of skin treatment modules, these may be replaced after use for modules providing a different type of skin treatment. Such skin treatment modules like epilator, shaver, exfoliation or abrasive module, suction head, and massage head apply a mechanical action to the skin. Ultrasound module applies ultrasound waves to the skin. Intense pulsed light and RF apply electromagnetic radiation to the skin. A combination of these modules may be used to provide a variety of skin treatments such as hair removal, skin rejuvenation, skin exfoliation, acne treatment, circumference reduction, and other skin treatments.

The method consists of identifying within a first die a first multiplicity of the functional features having respective characteristics, and measuring respective first locations of the first multiplicity with respect to an origin of the first die. Within a group of second dies a second multiplicity of the functional features having the respective characteristics is identified, respective second locations of the second multiplicity are measured. The second locations are compared to the first locations to determine a location of an origin of the group of the second dies.
