The present invention is directed to a hair dyeing composition containing a dissociative azo dye of the following general formula (1) A-N═N—B (1) wherein “A” represents a phenyl or naphthyl group which may be substitued; “B” represents an atomic group containing a dissociative proton, with the proviso “A” and “B” are free of sulfo, carboxyl and quaternary ammonium groups. Additionally, the present invention describes a method of dyeing human or animal hair by using such a dye and the use of this direct azo dye for dyeing human or animal hair. The use of this direct azo dye can impart the hair with an extremely vivid color and has less color fading over time.

A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material has a support provided thereon a photographic constitutional layer including at least one photographic light-sensitive layer that contains a light-sensitive silver halide, an organosilver salt having a nitrogen-containing heterocycle, a compound capable of forming a dye by coupling reaction with an oxidized developing agent, and a binder, wherein the light-sensitive layer contains: (A) as the silver halide, a silver halide emulsion composed of tabular silver halide grains having a main face made up of a (111) plane, an average diameter of an equivalent circle of at least 0.70 &mgr;m, and an average thickness of less than 0.20 &mgr;m; and (B) as the organosilver salt, a compound in which a hydrogen on a 5- or 6-membered nitrogen-containing heterocycle having at least one —NH— group is replaced with Ag.

There is disclosed a silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material which excels in a color reproduction and an image fastness and which has an excellent color developability. The above silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material comprises a support and provided thereon a yellow color-developing light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, a magenta color-developing light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and a cyan color-developing light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer each having a different color-sensitivity, wherein the above magenta color-developing light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer contains at least one of the non-diffusible dye-forming couplers represented by the following Formula (M), a high boiling organic solvent having a dielectric constant of 6.0 or less and a refraction index of 1.50 or less, and at least one of the water insoluble polymers which are obtained by polymerizing at least one of the monomers having an aromatic group: wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent; Z represents a non-metal atomic group which is necessary to form a 5-membered azole ring containing 2 to 4 nitrogen atoms and the above azole ring may contain a substituent (including a condensed ring); and X represents a hydrogen atom or a group capable of splitting off upon a coupling reaction with an oxidation product of a developing agent.

The present invention discloses a color photographic photosensitive material for heat development, which material is characterized in that the color photographic photosensitive material produces superior discrimination with reduced color muddiness in rapid processing. The color photographic photosensitive material for heat development of the present invention comprises a support having thereon a photosensitive silver halide, a binder, a dye-releasable compound, a compound represented by the general formula (I) or (II), and a compound represented by the general formula (III) or (IV).

A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is described, which comprises a support having provided thereon a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, wherein the silver halide photographic material contains a compound having been blocked by a metal chelate and capable of releasing a photographically useful compound therefrom through a reaction of the metal chelate moiety with a water-soluble chelating agent capable of forming a metal chelate having a higher stability constant on development. A method for forming an image is also described, which comprises processing, after imagewise exposure, a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material with a processing solution containing a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic carboxylic acid-base chelating agent.
