摘要: A compressor includes a discharge chamber, a compression chamber, a partition wall, and a discharge reed valve. The partition wall is arranged between the discharge chamber and the compression chamber and includes a fixing surface facing the discharge chamber. The partition wall includes a discharge port that communicates the discharge chamber and the compression chamber. The discharge reed valve includes a fixed portion, an intermediate portion, and a valve portion. The fixing surface includes a first groove portion, which extends around the discharge port, and a valve seat surface, which is arranged between the discharge port and the first groove portion. The first groove portion extends to a range overlapped with the intermediate portion. A part of the valve portion at a distal side does not close the first groove portion. The valve seat surface includes a receiving portion.

摘要: A variable displacement compressor has a drive shaft, a rotor supported by the drive shaft, a drive plate supported by the drive shaft and a hinge mechanism located between the rotor and the drive plate. The hinge mechanism includes a cam, which is located on the rotor, and a guide portion, which is located on the drive plate. The cam has a cam surface, which has a predetermined profile. One of the cam surface and the guide portion slides against the other in accordance with inclination of the drive plate. The guide portion traces a path corresponding to the profile of the cam surface with respect to the cam. The path includes a first path corresponding to a small displacement region of the compressor and a second path corresponding to a large displacement region of the compressor. The profile of the cam surface is determined such that the first path and the second path bulge in a direction opposite to each other to compensate for fluctuation of a top dead center position of the piston.

摘要: Fluid heating devices may be utilized, for example, to heat a vehicle coolant and may include a rotor body rotatably supported within a rotor housing. A plurality of blades may be disposed on a circumferential surface of the rotor body and a channel may be defined between each two adjacent blades. Each channel has a base portion, an inner circumferential end and an outer circumferential end. Preferably, the inner circumferential end is longer than the outer circumferential end as measured from the base portion. Further, the outer circumferential ends of the channels may define wall portions and the wall portions are preferably shorter than the inner circumferential ends as measured from the base portions of the channels. In view of this design, it is not necessary to provide shields toward the outer circumferential ends of the channels.

摘要: An improved viscous fluid type heater is disclosed. The heater has a heating chamber and a heat exchange chamber. The heating chamber accommodates viscous fluid and a rotor that rotates and shears the viscous fluid to produce heat. The heat exchange chamber allows circulating fluid to flow therethrough, whereby the heat is transmitted to the heat exchange chamber from the heating chamber to heat the circulating fluid. A reservoir chamber communicates with the heating chamber for an auxiliary reservoir of the viscous fluid. A stirring member is provided in the reservoir chamber and stirs the viscous fluid in the reservoir chamber.

摘要: A viscous fluid type heater includes a heating chamber for holding viscous fluid and a rotor located in the heating chamber. A holding chamber is located below the heating chamber to communicate with the heating chamber. A plunger, which is actuated by a solenoid, is movable between a forward position for maximizing the volume of the holding chamber and a rearward position for minimizing the volume of the holding chamber. When the plunger is at the forward position, viscous fluid is discharged from the heating chamber to the holding chamber. When the plunger is at the rearward position, viscous fluid is supplied from the holding chamber to the heating chamber. This allows the load of the heater to be removed or reinstated selectively. In an engine-driven vehicle, the engine can thus started without being hindered by the heater.

The heating chamber has a pair of inner flat surfaces and an inner peripheral surface. The rotor has a pair of outer flat surfaces that respectively opposes the inner flat surfaces by predetermined gaps and an outer peripheral surface that opposes the inner peripheral surface. The outer peripheral surface has peripheral edge portions each angularly and continuously extending from the outer flat surface. The peripheral edge is chamfered so that the rotor is prevented from interfering with the inner flat surfaces.

摘要: A variable capacity type viscous heater is provided in which the capacity reduction is carried out securely, and which can inhibit a viscous fluid from deteriorating the endurable heat generation even after a long period of service. For instance, it includes a heat-generating chamber, a collector passage, a supply passage, and a control chamber, which are formed therein. The collector passage is communicated with a central region of the heat-generating chamber, and is capable of opening and closing. The supply passage is communicated with a lower region of the heat-generating chamber. The control chamber is communicated with the collector passage and the supply passage. A silicone oil, held in the heat-generating chamber, is collected into the control chamber by the Weissenberg effect by way of the opened collector passage, thereby carrying out the capacity reduction. Whilst, the silicone oil, held in the control chamber, is supplied into the heat-generating chamber by way of the supply passage, thereby carrying out the capacity enlargement.

摘要: The viscous type heat generator includes a housing having a heating chamber and a heat radiating chamber. A rotor is rotatably arranged in the heating chamber so that a viscous fluid is subjected to a shearing action to generate heat. The rotor is fitted on a drive shaft in such a manner that the rotor can not rotate but can move axially relative to the drive shaft. The front and rear end surfaces of the rotor have wedge effect producing means for correcting an axial offset of the rotor in the heating chamber by the wedge effect caused by the pressure of viscous fluid while the rotor is rotating. This wedge effect producing means comprises at least three inclined recesses extending in the circumferential direction, the bottoms of which become gradually shallower in the direction opposite to the rotational direction of the rotor. The inclined recesses are arranged at circumferentially regular intervals and at radially equal positions from the center of the rotor.
