摘要: An intermediate article of manufacture formed as a first stage bead area subassembly for a split ply pneumatic tire carcass is disclosed. The bead area subassembly has an annular bead core; a bead apex; a ply strip; and preferably a sidewall affixed to the ply strip. The subassembly is formed into a disk-shaped bead area monocomponent. The ply strip is wrapped about the bead core and the apex to form a ply turnup and both the ply strip and the ply turnup extend radially outwardly from the bead core. The bead area subassembly when formed into the disk-shaped bead area monocomponent is placed on an annular holder device. The combination of the bead area monocomponent on the holder device can be stacked for storage and latter assembly into a split ply carcass. Preferably, the ply turnup can be oriented extending inside or axially inward of the bead core on final assembly to form a split ply tire having axially inside turnups. In the preferred embodiment the ply strip is reinforced by radially extending ply cords.

摘要: An information handling system includes a processor with multiple hardware units that generate program application load, store, and I/O interface requests to system busses within the information handling system. The processor includes a resource allocation identifier (RAID) that links the processor hardware unit initiating a system bus request with a specific resource allocation group. The resource allocation group assigns a specific bandwidth allocation rate to the initiating processor. When a load, store, or I/O interface bus request reaches the I/O bus for execution, the resource allocation manager restricts the amount of bandwidth associated with each I/O request by assigning discrete amounts of bandwidth to each successive I/O requester. Successive stages of the instruction pipeline in the hardware unit contain the resource allocation identifiers (RAID) linked to the specific load, store, or I/O instruction.

摘要: A magnetic motor system includes a brushless motor with interdigitated permanent magnets longitudinally mounted on a rotor at equal radial positions, and stator windings to drive the rotor in response to pulses from a timer/driver, and stationary recapture windings to recover energy that would otherwise go to waste. One set of batteries is used to drive the motor through the timer/driver, and bridge rectifiers connected to the stationary recapture windings provide electrical current to charge a second set of batteries. The rotor shaft output provides kinetic energy to drive electrical generators, air compressors, etc. A shaft encoder connected to the rotor provides the information needed by the timer/driver to know which stator winding should be pulsed and with what polarity. A power pulse is provided at least every 12.5 degrees of rotation, making the motor self starting.

摘要: All feedback cycles in a circuit network which cross only non-scannable memory elements are detected in linear run time. The method models a circuit network as a directed graph, then attributes network elements so that a single feedback cycle may be found in constant time. In the breadth first version, feedback is detected by traversing at most a constant distance back to the last scannable memory element. In the depth first version, graph nodes are not FINISHED until all predecessors are FINISHED. Feedback is found immediately if a node runs into another node that is NOT—FINISHED. This feedback is illegal if both nodes are in a zone defined by the same scannable memory element. The resulting identification and removal of feedback loops crossing only non-scannable memory elements significantly reduces the subsequent complexity of test pattern generation. This ensures a faster, more reliable, and more accurate test process after circuit fabrication.

摘要: A synchronous interrupt handler for a processing system executing multiple modes of operation employs a minimum number of lines of interrupt handler code written to execute at the "zeroth" level, is combined with a virtualized interrupt vector table. An identical zeroeth level handler is inserted at each of the processor's interrupt vector entry pints. These short code sequences are the first to gain control following an interrupt. They are handwritten in the platform's native instruction set to be mode-independent. For example, if the platform's processor does not alter the "endianness" of the machine state following an interrupt, the "zeroeth level" code must be written for endian neutrality; likewise, for 32/64-bit mode, etc. For each mode of operation, there is created a Virtualized Vector Table to represent the proper interrupt handlers for each physical interrupt level. Each task data structure, implicitly reflecting its unique mode of operation, contains a pointer to its virtualized vector table. The zeroeth-level handlers then extract the virtualized vector table reference for their own interrupt level and indirectly pass control to the preloaded table value.

摘要: A system for establishing an encrypted multicast communication session over a communications network can include a client means (e.g., a radio, laptop, workstation, phone, PDA) and a server means. The client means can transmit a request for a first user to join a pre-defined collaborative group, including at least the first user and a second user. The client means can transmit a request for a first user to create or select a collaborative group based on specified criteria. The system can also include a server means that can retrieve, select or generate an encryption key for the collaborative group and transmit the encryption key to the first user via the client means. The server can transmit the encryption key to the second user via a second client means. The client means can communicate via multicast, encrypting end-to-end above the network layer using the encryption key received from the server means.

摘要: A method and apparatus is provided for cutting an elastomeric laminate that may include a layer of reinforcement cords, into a desired length without cutting through the cords. The method includes the step of cutting through the gum portion of the elastomeric composite material at a desired skive angle, and then opening up the skived cut. Next, the cord reinforcement layer is cut without severing the reinforcement cords. An elastomeric composite strip cut to the desired length is produced and has cut ends. One of the cut ends has the gum portion cut at a desired skive angle adjacent an overhang portion of the reinforcement layer. The opposite end of the elastomeric composite segment also has a skived portion to mate with the skived portion of the first cut end, and a gap in the cord ply to mate with the cord overhang of the first end, resulting in a splice. An improved anvil having independently controlled vacuum zones is also provided, as well as improved cutting mechanisms.
