    摘要: Provided is an X-ray generator comprising an X-ray tube including a cylindrical body; an electron source in the body; a target at an end of the X-ray tube facing the electron source, the target generating X-rays by irradiation with electrons; a container in which the X-ray tube is arranged; insulating liquid filled between the X-ray tube and the container; and a holding member holding the body of the X-ray tube in the container, with a channel for the insulating liquid around the X-ray tube. The distance between the holding member and the end face at the end of the body in the direction in which the electron source and the target face is twice or more as large as the minimum width of the channel that is in contact with the outer surface of the X-ray tube at the end face side with respect to the holding member. This allows heat in the target to be quickly radiated, thus allowing X-rays to be generated stably for a long time.

The degradation of the cathode caused by accelerated collisions with the cathode, of cations generated by collisions of electrons with gas molecules generated in the electron passing hole by a desorption phenomenon due to electron ray irradiation to the target, is reduced.

    摘要: A radiation generating apparatus of the present invention includes an envelope 1 including a first window 2 allowing radiation to pass; a radiation tube 10 that is accommodated in the envelope 1, and includes a second window 15 allowing radiation to pass, at a position opposite to the first window 2; a radiation passing hole 21 that is thermally connected to the second window 15 and communicates with the second window 15; and a radiation shielding member 16 protruding from the second window 15 toward the first window 2. In this apparatus, a thermally conductive member 17 having a higher thermal conductivity than the radiation shielding member 16 is connected to an outer periphery of the protruding portion of the radiation shielding member 16. The simple configuration can shield unnecessary radiation, and cool the target, while facilitating reduction in weight.

The radiation generating tube includes an envelope with an aperture, an electron emitting source arranged in the envelope, a target arranged facing the source, for generating radiation responsive to irradiation with an electron beam emitted from the source, and a tubular shield for holding the target by an inner wall thereof and shielding part of the radiation emitted from the target. The shield is arranged to protrude outward of the envelope so that the target is positioned on an outer side of the aperture, and the cooling medium contacts at least a part of the shield.

    摘要: A method for adjusting electron emitting characteristics of a multi-electron source having plural electron emitting devices disposed on a substrate. The method comprises measuring electron emission characteristics of the devices and setting a characteristic adjustment target value. Plural characteristic shift voltages having discrete values are applied to some of the devices, electron emission characteristics of each of these devices are measured, and a characteristic adjustment table is generated for each characteristics shift voltage value according to change rates of these measured characteristics. A predetermined characteristics shift voltage value is selected based on the corresponding table, and that voltage is applied to the devices to cause their characteristics to shift towards the target value. A change in the electron emission characteristics is monitored to revise the characteristics shift condition.

    摘要: There is provided a radiation generating apparatus having a simple structure and capable of shielding unnecessary radiation, cooling a target, reducing the size and weight of the apparatus, and achieving higher reliability, and a radiation imaging apparatus having the same. A transmission type radiation tube is held inside a holding container filled with a cooling medium. The transmission type radiation tube includes an envelope having an aperture, an electron source arranged inside the envelope so as to face the aperture of the envelope, a target unit for generating a radiation responsive to an irradiation with an electron emitted from the electron source, and a shield member for shielding a part of the radiation emitted from the target unit. The cooling medium contacts at least a part of the shield member.

    摘要: In a radiation imaging apparatus, an envelope has a first window for transmitting radiation and is filled with an insulating liquid, and a radiation tube in the envelope has, at a position facing the first window, a second window for transmitting the radiation, and a shielding member. A solid insulating member is arranged between the shielding member and the inner wall of the envelope, and an opening is formed at a position on the insulating member corresponding to the first window. The shortest distance from the shielding member to the first window or the inner wall of the envelope through the opening of the insulating member without the insulating member is made to be longer than the shortest distance from the shielding member to the first window or the inner wall of the envelope through the insulating member, thereby improving withstand voltage performance without reducing an radiation amount.
