摘要: The invention relates to a preprocessing circuit for at least one hologram computation circuit that comprises an input interface device for receiving data of a scene to be displayed, a processing device for defined processing of the received data and for converting the data into a system-independent format with incorporation of specific parameters required for displaying the scene, and an output interface device for outputting and transmitting the converted data to at least one hologram computation circuit. An apparatus for computing a hologram for displaying a scene by means of a holographic display apparatus is also disclosed. The apparatus comprises at least one spatial light modulation device and a preprocessing circuit as described, and at least one hologram computation circuit for computing a hologram and for encoding the hologram for the at least one spatial light modulation device.

摘要: A device for combining light beams which interact with adjacently arranged pixels of a light modulator, having a beam splitting component, a beam combining component, and a beam superposition component. The beam splitting component is configured such that incident light beams are split into a first subbeam and a second subbeam so that the first subbeam propagates toward a first pixel of the light modulator and the second subbeam propagates toward a second pixel of the light modulator. The beam combining component is configured and arranged so that the first subbeam and the second subbeam are combined after interaction with pixels of the light modulator. The beam splitting component and the beam combining component are configured and arranged in such a way that a sum of optical path lengths of the first subbeam and the second subbeam is respectively constant for different angles of incidence.

摘要: A method for generating video holograms in real time for a holographic playback device comprising at least one light modulator means, into which a scene divided into object points is encoded as an entire hologram and can be seen as a reconstruction from a visibility region, which is located within a periodicity interval of the reconstruction of the video hologram, the visibility region defining a subhologram together with each object point of the scene to be reconstructed, and the entire hologram being generated from a superposition of contributions of subholograms, is characterized in that for each object point the contributions of the subholograms in the entire reconstruction of the scene can be determined from at least one look-up table.

The phase and/or the amplitude of a light wave field, which is substantially collimated, can be varied by means of the light modulator depending on the location of the light modulator. The light modulator can be actuated by means of the control device. According to the invention, in the direction of propagation of the light wave field, at least one diffracting unit is arranged downstream of the light modulator. The diffracting unit has a variable diffracting structure. By means of the diffracting structure, the light wave field varied by the light modulator can be diffracted in a variable and predeterminable manner. Further, the present invention relates to a display and a method for producing a light modulation device.

摘要: A display device for representing two-dimensional and/or three-dimensional objects or scenes, having at least one spatial light modulation device having pixels for modulating light, at least one optical system, and at least one light guiding device. Light beams originating from the individual pixels of the spatial light modulation device are incident on the at least one light guiding device at different angles on average in relation to the surface of the at least one light guiding device and can be coupled therein, whereby a coupling angular spectrum is definable. The light beams propagating in the at least one light guiding device can be coupled out of the at least one light guiding device at different angles on average in relation to an observer region, whereby a decoupling angular spectrum is definable. The decoupling angular spectrum is enlarged in comparison to the coupling angular spectrum.

The display device comprises an illumination unit, a spatial light modulator device and a separator. The illumination device emits sufficiently coherent light. Sub-holograms of object points to be displayed are encoded in pixels of the spatial light modulator device. The separator is provided for separating adjacent point spread functions in an eye of an observer generated by the sub-holograms of adjacent object points such that the adjacent point spread functions are mutually incoherent.
