    Abstract: A system for winding a rolled product includes a winder having a winding spool, a spool rotator, a distributor guiding positioning of the rolled product towards the spool at an instantaneous winding point, and a distributor translator. A control and command unit coordinates the rotator and the translator according to a predetermined winding program which is a function of predetermined reference operating parameters and of real time operating parameters. The detector includes a laser triangulation profilometer diametrically opposite to the distributor, and continuously detects the surface profile of the coil of rolled product at every added turn. A processing and calculation unit feedback adjusts translation speed of the distributor to minimize a difference between an actual operating parameter calculated based on the profile of the coil in formation detected by the profilometer and the same operating parameter calculated based on theoretical data related to a predetermined ideal coil winding.

Each station includes a load-bearing structure, a removable roll-holder cartridge with three rolling rolls movable radially and rotating around spaced rotational axes, and a roll having a vertical rotational axis. A system synchronizes mechanical adjustment of the rolls. Three actuators mount on the load-bearing structure; three gear motor groups connect to the rolls by single extensions. The second station rolls are rotated 60° from the first stations. The rolls with a vertical axis of the first and second stations are arranged on opposite sides of the rolling axis. All rolling stations allow lateral extraction of roll-holder cartridges from the same side of the rolling mill. The stations on the extraction side have actuators movable relative to the load-bearing structure. The stations with vertical rolls arranged on the opposite side have fixed actuators.

    Abstract: A steel making plant includes an electric arc furnace and a fume collection and treatment system. The system includes a first primary suction line fluidically connected to the electric arc furnace to suck fumes generated in the electric arc furnace. A secondary suction line is for ventilating the environment surrounding the electric arc furnace by a suction hood. A filtration apparatus is for filtering emissions collected by the fume collection and treatment system before they are discharged into the atmosphere. The electric arc furnace is powered by a continuous charging system. A fume cooling apparatus, a dust collecting device and a denox selective catalytic reduction apparatus are arranged in sequence along the first primary suction line, starting from the electric arc furnace. The secondary suction line flows into the first primary suction line downstream of the denox selective catalytic reduction apparatus and upstream of the filtration apparatus.
