摘要: A removable member-holding device is provided and includes: a pull-out member that is supported so as to be movable between an accommodation position and a pull-out position; a rotatable holder that is supported by the pull-out member so as to be rotatable around a rotation shaft and supported so as to be movable integrally with the pull-out member, and that holds a removable member which is attached to and detached from the image forming apparatus main body, the rotatable holder being movable between an insertion possible position where the pull-out member is movable from the pull-out position toward the accommodation position and an inclined position where the rotatable holder rotates downward in a direction of a gravity around the rotation shaft and is inclined with respect to the insertion possible position; and a regulating member that is disposed at the rotation shaft of the rotatable holder to lessen a movement speed of the rotatable holder when rotationally moving to the inclined position.

摘要: A rotary-type developing unit includes: a rotary holder mounting a plurality of developing devices; each of the developing devices having: a developing housing storing a two-component developer consisting of a toner and a carrier and including a developing opening formed in part thereof; a developer carrier disposed opposed to the developing opening of the developing housing and carrying the two-component developer thereon; and a developer delivery member stirring and delivering the developer existing within the developing housing so as to supply the developer to the developer carrier. The developer carriers of the respective developing devices are selectively arranged at a developing position facing a latent image carrier by rotating the rotary holder intermittently, whereby respective color component latent images on the latent image carrier are respectively developed by the respective corresponding developing devices. A developer storing recessed portion where a developer free from the operation of the developer delivery member is stored is formed downwardly of the developer delivery member of the developer housing, in a state in which each of the developing devices is set at the developing position.

摘要: A developing device includes a developing roller; a housing that retains the developing roller such that the developing roller has exposed and unexposed portions, end portions of the housing having first faces curved along the unexposed portion and second faces facing inward; a layer-thickness regulating member having an edge near the developing roller; a first magnet including a first magnetic pole that attracts the developer and a second magnetic pole located downstream of the first magnetic pole and upstream of the exposed portion in a rotational direction of the developing roller, the second magnetic pole having a magnetic force of about 60 mT or less; second magnets retained on the first faces; and magnetic plates retained on the second faces and arranged such that developer chains formed thereon at the downstream ends in the rotational direction extend to positions upstream of the edge of the layer-thickness regulating member.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming apparatus body that includes a container attaching portion to which a developer container is removably attached; a container put-on member on which the developer container is put; and a support member to which the container put-on member is attached, the support member supporting the container put-on member to perform a movement between a first position in which the container put-on member is at the container attaching portion and a second position in which the container put-on member is pulled out from the container attaching portion, wherein at the second position, at least a part of the container put-on member is displaced downward through a rotating shaft provided on the support member to a lower position than a height of the container put-on member at the second position in the direction of gravity.
