    摘要: Processes for forming propylene are described herein. The processes generally include reacting a metathesis feed stream including butene with ethylene in the presence of a first metathesis catalyst via a first metathesis reaction to form a first metathesis product stream including propylene, ethylene, butene, and C5+ olefins; separating at least a portion of the propylene and ethylene from the first metathesis product stream to form a first overhead stream and to form a first de-propenized bottoms stream including butene and C5+ olefins; reacting at least a portion of the first de-propenized bottoms stream with ethylene in the presence of a second metathesis catalyst via a second metathesis reaction to form a second metathesis product stream including propylene, ethylene, butene, and C5+ olefins; and separating at least a portion of the propylene and ethylene from the second metathesis product stream to form a second overhead stream; and recovering propylene from the first overhead stream, the second overhead stream or combinations thereof.

    摘要: A process for cracking a heavy hydrocarbon feed is disclosed. The heavy hydrocarbon feed is passed to a first zone of a vaporization unit to separate a first vapor stream and a first liquid stream. The first liquid stream is passed to a second zone of the vaporization unit and contacted intimately with a countercurrent steam to produce a second vapor stream and a second liquid stream. The second vapor stream is contacted with a wash liquid in a rectification section to form a rectified stream. The first vapor stream and the rectified stream are cracked in the radiant section of the steam cracker to produce a cracked effluent.

    摘要: A hydrocarbon feed is passed to a first zone of a vaporization unit to separate a first vapor stream and a first liquid stream. The first liquid stream is passed to a second zone of the vaporization unit and contacted intimately with a counter-current steam produce a second vapor stream and a second liquid stream. The first vapor stream and the second vapor stream are cracked in the radiant section of the steam cracker to produce a cracked effluent. The second liquid stream is thermally cracked in a coking drum to produce a coker effluent and coke. The coker effluent is separated into a coker gas and a coker liquid. The coker liquid is reacted with hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst to produce a hydroprocessed product. The hydroprocessed product is separated into a gas product and a liquid product. The liquid product is fed to the vaporization unit.

The liquid product is fed to the vaporization unit. The bottoms stream is thermally cracked in a coking drum to produce a coker effluent and coke. The coker effluent is passed to the fractionator.

    摘要: Olefins may be produced by thermally steam cracking residuum containing a short residuum having a boiling point range greater than 565° C. wherein at least 3 weight percent of the short residuum has a boiling point greater than or equal to 650° C. The residuum has pentane insolubles less than or equal to 1.2, ASTM 893. Further, the weight percent of hydrogen of the residuum is greater than or equal to 12.5. Such feedstocks are produced by hydrotreating, where necessary, a petroleum residuum having pentane insolubles less than 1.0, ASTM 893, until the weight percent of hydrogen of the petroleum residuum is 12.5. Where necessary, the petroleum residuum may be deasphalted prior to subjecting it to hydrotreatment.
