摘要: The invention relates to sensing device for detecting the wearing position of the device with respect to a user. The device comprises a motion sensor for detecting a motion signal, a height sensor for detecting a height signal and a computing unit. The computing unit receives the motion signal and the height signal, and based thereon determines the wearing position of the sensing device with respect to the user. In embodiments, parameters related to movement of the user are extracted from the signals, and the wearing position is detected from these parameters by means of a classification algorithm.

摘要: The invention relates to sensing device (20) for detecting the wearing position of the device with respect to a user. The device comprises a motion sensor (21) for detecting a motion signal, a height sensor (22) for detecting a height signal and a computing unit (23). 摘要: There is provided a fall detection system, comprising a passive vibration sensor; one or more other sensors for detecting respective characteristics of a fall; and a processor for analyzing measurements from the one or more other sensors to determine if a fall has occurred; wherein the system is configured to selectively provide power to the one or more other sensors and/or processor in response to the passive vibration sensor detecting motion of a user of the fall detection system.
