Abstract:
A method for determining a viewing configuration of a rendered figure of a rehab-patient or a sports trainee, aiming to deliver a suitable view on the rendered figure, the method comprising the steps of capturing motion data in the 3D space of one or more body parts of the rehab-patientor the sports trainee and providing them to a computer; and further the step of performing on the computer measurements of deviation of the captured motion data from a reference list of motion data and/or measurements of main motion direction; and based on the results of the above measurements, determining the viewing configuration.
Abstract:
A biofeedback system and a display device for the use in the biofeedback system. Also disclosed is a method for a biofeedback treatment of a person or an animal. Biofeedback is a therapy method which is used in rehabilitation facilities, for example in the neurological rehabilitation. A neural signal magnitude below a certain threshold does not result in a muscle response, for example, because the provided stimulus is insufficient to trigger the muscle. In order to provide a patient with an intuitive feedback of the sub-threshold neural signal nevertheless, the signal is detected and made recognizable to the patient.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a health management system comprising a body or limb movement detecting means for detecting the movements and position of a users body or limb(s) in 3D space, a movement analyzing means for analyzing the data of the measurement carried out by the body or limb movement detecting means, wherein the body or limb movement detecting means comprises at least three sensors or markers for tracking a user's body or limb movement in 3D space by measuring an angle embedded by two body parts of the user which are connected to each other by a joint being the apex of the angle to be measured, at which one of the sensors or markers is provided. To detect the offset a change in distance between two neighboring sensors or markers indicates an offset of the sensor at the joint spaced apart from the apex.

Abstract:
A computer-based system is presented for grading facial paralysis, which system is adapted to be operated by a patient, including a camera system for collecting a series of images of the patient's face for analysis by a computer system, and a display which provides visual feedback to the patient so that the computer system can prompt the patient to carry out specific movements or facial exercises. This system is applicable for use in a home environment by a patient.
Abstract:
An automatic sensor position recognition system including a position recognition unit located at pre-determined positions on a person's body and bearing a unique identification; a sensor bearing a unique identification; a communication unit assigned to the sensor and being in communication with the position recognition unit and the sensor; a data processing unit in communication with the communication unit; and a database being in communication with the data processing system and comprising the correlation of the unique identification of the position recognition unit and the pre-determined position of the position recognition unit. The system provides an automatic association between sensors and body segments as well as means to obtain these associations.
Abstract:
A controller for a display device includes a processor configured to receive an indication of the orientation of a user of the display device; receive an indication of the orientation of the display device; and generate a graphical representation of a user of the display device using the received indications, such that the orientation of the graphical representation of the user is adapted based on the orientation of the display device.
Abstract:
An assistance system for visually handicapped persons with visual impair in a part of their visual field aims at providing a technical solution for these persons, informing them actively about objects or movements in the visually impaired side, by way of body-worn sensors.
