    摘要： A gas turbine engine of the by-pass type including a rotor, having adjustable blades, which is rotatable in the by-pass duct of the engine. The rotor is of self-contained form in that all of the components for normal adjustment of the blades are carried wholly by the rotor so as to be rotatable therewith and signals for initiating blade adjustment are transmitted by way of input means which extend from non-rotative engine structure to the rotor.

    摘要： A ram-air turbine includes a rotor having blades whose pitch is variable, a governor responsive to the rotational speed of the rotor, and an actuator for effecting pitch variation of the blades. A valve is provided whose position is controlled by the governor for directing fluid under pressure to at least one part of the actuator to effect pitch variation in one direction and for directing fluid under pressure to at least one other part of the actuator to effect pitch variation in the other direction when the rotational speed of the rotor is above a predetermined value. The valve is also arranged to connect all the parts of the actuator to a source of low pressure when said speed is below the predetermined value.
