摘要： There are provided an information recording apparatus for recording information so as to permit to carry out seamless reproduction, when switching a recording layer of an optical disk having a double-layer structure, which is in reproduction condition to another recording layer during reproduction; and an information record medium on which information can be recorded by the information recording apparatus. According to the information recording apparatus of the present invention, a total of amounts of data detected by a data-amount detecting means is sequentially calculated, upon recording data groups each having at least one of video information and audio information, on the information record medium provided with a first recording layer having a first recording capacity and a second recording layer having a second recording capacity; and each data group is sequentially recorded on the first recording layer when the total of the amounts of data the thus calculated is judged to be equal to or smaller than the first recording capacity. Each data group is recorded as a minimum unit, and it is therefore possible to carry out seamless reproduction, even when switching the recording layer of the optical disk having the double-layer structure, which is in reproduction condition to another recording layer during reproduction.

Either one of the anode lines and the cathode lines are used as scanning lines, and the others are used as driving lines. While one of the scanning lines is scanned during a scanning period, a driving source is synchronously connected to one of the driving lines so that a light emitting element connected to an intersecting point of the one scanning line and the one driving line is caused to emit light. Immediately after the scanning period of the one scanning line is started, a first driving source is connected to the one driving line, and subsequently, in exchange for the first driving source, a second driving source is connected to the one driving line.

摘要： A clock signal generating system of the present invention is provided for recording information on a disc. The disc has a plurality of recording tracks wobbled by a wobble signal having a predetermined frequency and a plurality of prepits disposed at positions having a predetermined phase relation with respect to a phase of the wobble signal. A clock signal is generated based on the wobble signal. A prepit signal is produced from the prepit. The phase of the wobble signal is compared with a phase of the prepit signal, thereby generating a phase adjusting signal. The phase of the clock signal is adjusted based on the phase adjusting signal. A recording clock signal for recording the information is produced by an adjusted clock signal.
