    摘要: An apparatus for automatic rotational positioning of textile yarn winding tubes about their lengthwise axes while being transported on peg-tray tube carriers along a conveyor belt or other transport path includes a positioning station having a pair of rotatable positioning rollers disposed at the station along one side of the transport path at a sufficiently close spacing to one another to prevent passage of the peg trays therebetween. Each peg tray has a base plate whose annular surface is formed of a magnetically attractable material such as iron and at least the upstream one of the positioning rollers is magnetized to selectively exert a magnetic force on the peg trays at controllable intervals. As desired, the downstream positioning roller can also be magnetized.

    摘要: A yarn package handling assembly is provided for handling yarn packages transported on individual package support members on a textile winding machine. The yarn package handling assembly includes a yarn end disposing arrangement operable to dispose the yarn ends of yarn packages into preferred preliminary dispositions for handling at the winding stations of the machine. Another yarn end disposing arrangement is provided for more aggressively acting on yarn packages to dispose their yarn ends in a preferred preliminary disposition where the first arrangement was unsuccessful, handling yarn packages in a special manner to dispose their yarn ends in a preferred preliminary disposition and the yarn packages prepared by the more aggressive yarn end disposing arrangement are transported along a second transport path back to the path for feeding packages from the first-mentioned arrangement to the winding stations. According to one aspect of the present invention, a tube stripping device can be provided for stripping yarn from tubes. According to another aspect of the present invention, a yarn amount sensing member senses the presence of yarn on tubes discharged from the winding stations and controls recirculates those tubes having more than a minimum amount of yarn to the more aggressive yarn end disposing arrangement.

    摘要: The invention relates to a rotary dobby having a wedge coupling between a drive shaft and an eccentric device for the harness motion, in which the wedge is displaceably supported in a radially extending recess in an eccentric disk arranged in a crank arm and can be coupled and uncoupled in accordance with a pattern in an axially extending groove of the drive shaft at two diametrically opposite coupling locations by a shift rod which is controllable in accordance with a pattern and engages by a coupling member into a groove of the wedge which is open in axial direction of the drive shaft. In order to assure a dependable coupling and uncoupling at high speeds of revolution, the wedge is locked against displacement in its coupled position by a spring-biased locking pawl on the eccentric disk and the locking pawl is displaceable by the coupling member of the shift rod into a position which permits the uncoupling of the wedge.

    摘要: A drive connection for reciprocating a connecting rod from a drive shaft through an eccentric cam to manipulate a harness frame of a textile loom from one shedding position to another. The drive connection includes a pawl mounted on an eccentric cam and movable into and out of engagement in recesses in an annular drive ring only when the eccentric cam is in predetermined dwell positions. The pawl is controlled by a locking element against any change of position after it is engaged and it is continually biased in the direction of engagement. An actuating lever mounted on the connecting rod actuates the locking element to cause disengagement of the pawl from the drive ring recess. The actuating lever is controlled by an operating member that operates according to a predetermined program, and the actuating lever is prevented from actuation by blocking members that are spaced to allow actuation only at a dwell position.
