    摘要: A system and method for identifying a post cecum position of an ingestible, phototherapeutic capsule traveling through a gastrointestinal (GI) tract to prevent intestinal blockage and facilitating deployment of additional phototherapeutic capsules in accordance with patient needs. The system employs an ex-vitro beacon in wireless communication with the capsule. The ex-vitro beacon is deployed in the vicinity of the McBurney's point to direct a beacon signal toward the cecum to identify capsule passage into the large intestine less prone to blockage.
