摘要: A dewatering device for the web-forming or wet section of a papermaking machine comprises foils arranged transverse to a forming wire, that is to say, extend in the cross-machine direction. Force or powering elements act upon the foils so as to exert a force or pressure upon the forming wire, and thus, bring about dewatering and sheet formation of a layer of fiber stock suspension reposing upon the forming wire. The force elements are constructed and positioned such that additional moments are generated which counteract tilting moments produced by the frictional force present between the foils and the forming wire. In certain arrangements, the force elements also can be interconnected with one another.

摘要: The de-watering apparatus for a two-wire paper machine is constructed in such a manner that following the convergence of both wires, firstly, a uniform pressure at a forming roll is exerted on the suspension layer located between the wires. Subsequently, both wires pass de-watering rails which may be located in the upper and/or the lower wire. In this case, an under-pressure is exerted at least at the rails located in the upper wire. At least one further de-watering member then follows before both wires are separated again. The de-watering apparatus can also be used after a preliminary de-watering section, for example an endless wire, and also in the direct vicinity of a head box.

摘要: The front wall and support arrangement is shaped as a stiff support structure extending across the entire machine width above a slice chamber. The support structure is deformed due to its inherent weight and because of the pressures and temperatures prevailing in the slice chamber. To counteract these deformation effects the support structure is supported by a support carrier of about the same length as the support structure. To attain a substantially lower structural height, the support carrier is arranged relative to the support structure such that an intermediate space prevails between the lower wall of the support structure and the support carrier. This intermediate space accommodates force-generating support elements. Each of the force-generating support elements is provided for only a portion of the surface or area to be supported in the intermediate space. In a preferred embodiment the support structure is a box-like girder equipped with an upright positioned I-profile constituting the support carrier and arranged within the interior space of the box-like girder. Advantageously, the support elements are elastic tubes closed at both ends and extending substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the front wall, and the individual elastic tubes are each connected to at least one pressure source.

摘要: A pulp feed for a paper making machine comprising a nozzle channel or duct for the flow of the pulp or the like and terminating at a movable permeable element. The pulp feed has a first section bounded by a lower lip closer to the permeable element and a more remotely located pivotable upper lip which is adjustable at its edge which is downstream with regard to the flow of the pulp. The pulp feed further includes a second section which is bounded, on the one hand, by the permeable element, and on the other hand, by a pre-lip which merges with the upper lip and is pivotably mounted thereat by means of at least one substantially plug-shaped part. The outlet end of the pre-lip is adjustable in relation to the permeable element. The plug-shaped part is only rotatably mounted at least at two locations which are removed from one another and at the remaining bearing locations the bearing means possesses a displaceability with play in a plane containing an appreciable component in the direction of the surfaces of the upper lip and the pre-lip, respectively, bounding the nozzle channel or duct.

摘要: In order to regulate dewatering of the fiber suspension and the formation of the paper web between the upper and lower wires of the papermaking machines, upper ledges are provided along with the upper wire. These upper ledges are particularly constructed so as to have uniform design. Between these upper ledges, there is left free the same distance or spacing. This distance is not smaller than the width of each upper ledge. The individual distances between the upper ledges can be closed by insertable inserts so that the dewatering can be forcibly accomplished at mutually separated zones. Along the lower wire, there are provided lower ledges at a table, and between these lower ledges, it can be adjusted varying distances or spacing therebetween. The mutual distance or spacing between the lower ledges, according to a favorable construction, is always greater than the width of the individual upper ledges plus the distance or spacing of an upper ledge from the next neighboring upper ledge. The lower ledges can be mounted at the table so as to be lengthwise displaceably and individually adjustable in the direction of the lower wire. The table can be selectably positioned vertically as well as horizontally relative to the lower wire. All of these measures also can be accomplished during operation of the papermaking machine. The individual lower ledges are elastically supported against the table and this table is elastically supported against its foundation. It is possible to undertake the web forming operation, during operation of the papermaking machines, in accordance with technological requirements and the time wise as well as localized situations, while protecting the paper web which is to be formed and equally the equipment which is to be operated.

摘要: An extended drainage strip (3) is placed next to the primary sieve (5) of a double-sieve mold. It has a liquid-intake space (2), which is disposed between the part of the surface (4) facing the sieve and the sieve (5). Disposed next to the other sieve (6) is at least one adjustable strip (7) arranged so that it can be placed opposite the intake space (2). Intake space (2) has a cross-sectional size that increases, if necessary, in the direction in which the liquid flows. By pressing the adjustable strip (7) against the intake space (2) of the extended strip (3), the shape of the intake space (2) can be controlled, and the suction or intake of the liquid in the intake space (2) is regulated. One object is to achieve steadily increasing suction in the flow direction. This result assists in preventing undesired pressure surges. The drainage device is simplified and thus easy to monitor. Drainage proceeds carefully, with higher retention of fine particles in the sheet of material between the sieves.

摘要: In a multi-ply headbox of a papermaking machine, a flexible partition foil or sheet is connected by an apparatus to a rigid partition element dividing the nozzle chamber. For rapid replacement of the flexible partition foil or sheet, the apparatus comprises an upper retaining strip and a lower retaining strip which are structured for force-locking or form-closed or form-locking clamping of the flexible partition foil or sheet therebetween and secured at the rigid partition element. Between the upper and lower retaining strips there is provided a pressure chamber of a pressure device, which pressure chamber can be impinged by a pressurized fluid medium for spreading or expanding, if necessary, the upper and the lower retaining strips. The pressure chamber possesses the shape of a continuous groove extending across the entire outlet width of the headbox. This groove is lined with an elastic sealing coating or lining and the space bounded by such elastic sealing coating is connected via lines or conduits to a pressurized fluid medium source.

摘要: The multi-ply headbox has a number of, for example, three headbox elements comprising block-like infeed members containing mutually parallel distributor passages for the fiber stock suspension which open each into a nozzle chamber. Plate-like intermediate lip members or lips bound the nozzle chambers and are provided between the headbox elements. The plate-like intermediate lips are displaceably arranged between the infeed members. There are also provided outer lips or lip members which either can be structured as displaceable plates or may be constructed to be pivotable. One of the outlet slices can be altered without affecting the size of the other slices.

摘要: A twin wire former wherein the forming turbulence of a first forming section is quieted by a main forming roller. Behind the main forming roller, as viewed with respect to a predetermined direction of travel of the forming wires, there is accomplished a further forming of the paper web or sheet from the fiber stock suspension in a second forming section. Due to this arrangement there is possible optimum formation of the paper web or sheet with the use of very little dilution water for the fiber stock suspension. Additionally, due to intensive shear forces present in the second forming section flocks formed in the fiber stock suspension and the paper web or sheet at the region of the main forming roller, can be eliminated so that the structure of the paper web or sheet is made more uniform.
