An axial flow fan is disclosed. The axial flow fan comprises a hub, a plurality of blades extending radially outwardly from the hub, and an outer band surrounding peripheral ends of the blades. The median sweep angle of each blade increases gradually from 0° along the outward radial direction. The leading sweep angle of each blade starts from an angle of less than 0°, increases gradually and terminates at an angle of more than 40°. The trailing sweep angle of each blade increases along the outward radial direction after it decreases from an angle of more than 0° along the outward radial direction. The chord length of each blade gradually increases along the outward radial direction. The pitch angle of each blade gradually decreases along the outward radial direction.

The present invention relates to a reservoir tank for an automobile, which is provided with a height-adjustable sub filler neck so as to be retracted when not in use and extracted when filling coolant, whereby the reservoir tank can be disposed low in the automobile. The reservoir tank forming a cooling module together with a condenser, a radiator and a fan and shroud assembly is disposed at a carrier, and includes a filler neck for filling coolant and a cap for closing the filler neck, and is communicated with a radiator so as to control an amount of the coolant in the radiator, wherein the reservoir tank is integrally formed with a shroud of the fan and the shroud assembly, and the filler neck is formed with a sub filler neck which is retracted into and extracted from the filler neck.

An airflow guide stator vane for an axial flow fan and a shrouded axial flow fan assembly having such stator vanes are disclosed. The airflow guide stator vane has a leading edge line, a trailing edge line, and an airflow guide surface extending from the leading edge line to the trailing edge line. The stator vane is radially positioned in an axial flow fan and is curved so that its leading edge line is perpendicular to oblique velocity components of an airflow each of which is a sum vector of a rotation-directional velocity component and a radius-directional component of an air particle of the airflow. The axial flow fan assembly comprises an axial flow fan and a shroud. The axial flow fan consists of a circular central hub connected with a driving shaft of a motor and a plurality of blades radially arranged along the circumference of the hub. The shroud consists of a housing surrounding the peripheral ends of said axial flow fan and forming an airflow passage, a motor support being positioned at its center portion and holding a motor for driving said axial flow fan, and the above-described stator vanes.

Disclosed is an axial flow fan capable of achieving reduction of noise while having a high blowing efficiency compared to the power consumption of a motor adapted to drive the axial flow fan. The axial flow fan includes a hub, and a plurality of blades extending radially around the hub. Each blade has a sweep angle varying gradually from a backward angle at a root of the blade connected to the hub to a forward angle at a tip of the blade, while having a flow dispersion region having a plurality of regions where the sweep angle is alternately changed, at a region defined between a backward sweep angle region at the root of the blade and a forward sweep angle region at the tip of the blade. Each blade has a longitudinal cross section curved to have a wave structure between the root of the blade and the tip of the blade. The axial flow fan may further include a fan band connecting tips of the blades. The axial flow fan achieves reduction of blowing noise by receiving air in a dispersed state at the leading edge of each blade, discharging air in a dispersed state at the trailing edge of each blade, and offsetting turbulent flows of air by virtue of the wave-shaped longitudinal cross-sectional structure of each blade.
