Abstract: Discloses is an apparatus and method for providing a remote exploration service based on an open social network service (SNS). The apparatus for providing a remote exploration service may recommend an explorer terminal to a user terminal based on recommendation information of the user terminal, and transmit direction of movement data to the explorer terminal so that a remote exploration may be conducted along an exploration route designated by the user terminal.
