Abstract:
A golf club head includes a core formed integrally with a sole of the head and extending upwardly therefrom in a triangular cross section. The core is formed of metal, such as soft iron or stainless steel. A covering over the entire core and tubular shaft receiving hosel, made integral with the covering, are made from a fiber reinforced resin consisting principally of carbon fiber to form a clubface and hosel of the same material. The lower marginal edge of the clubface is formed flush with the sole.
Abstract:
A tennis racket comprises a frame; a shaft connected to the frame at one end thereof; a grip into which the shaft is inserted at the other end thereof; and a pair of lightweight metal pieces attached to the shaft. The frame and the shaft are formed from fiber-reinforced synthetic resin, the pair of lightweight metal pieces has a U-shaped section and extends from inside the grip at a connecting portion with the shaft and along both sides of the shaft.
Abstract:
A racket which is capable of mitigating the shock transmitted to the handle, improving the stability of the face of the head-frame, and enhancing the ability to damp the vibration imparted to the frame upon impact is disclosed. The racket has two meshed pieces (5) integrally attached to the surface of each of the lateral sides of a head-frame (1) so that the meshed pieces (5) are opposed to each other across the sweet spot of the racket. The meshed piece (5) is made from titanium and has a predetermined shape.
Abstract:
An iron golf club head comprised of a head body 10 made of light metal such as titanium and containing a plurality of weight members 16. The head body 10 includes a front surface 13, a rear surface 13a, a cavity 12 disposed at the rear surface 13a, and a plurality of holes 15 disposed in the head body 10 at the rear surface 13a between a lower side wall 12b of the cavity 12 and a sole 14 of the head body 10 at predetermined intervals between a toe part 17 and a heel part 18. The center axis of each hole 15 is oriented substantially parallel to the sole 14 of the head body 10. The weight members 16 are press-inserted into the holes 15 in a direction going toward the front surface 13 of the head body 10 to a predetermined depth. Each weight member 16 is made of a material having a heavier specific weight than the light metal used for the aforesaid head body 10. Tungsten or tungsten alloy can be used as the material for the weight members 16. The combined weight of the weight members 16 does not exceed forty percent of the weight of the entire head.
Abstract:
The game control device may include a storage unit, a first match-up executing unit, a character ability updating unit, and a second match-up executing unit. The storage unit stores an ability value of each player character. The first match-up executing unit executes a first match-up between two player characters in response to input of a communication terminal, and to determine a result of the first match-up based on the stored ability value of each player character. The character ability updating unit updates, based on the result of the first match-up, the ability values of the two player characters, and causes the storage unit to store the updated ability values. The second match-up executing unit executes a second match-up between player characters independently from the first match-up without input of the communication terminal, and determines a result of the second match-up based on the stored ability value of each player character.
Abstract:
A badminton racket that is strong in respect to impact and twist and that is high in surface stability and a manufacturing method of the badminton racket is provided. A badminton racket includes a frame formed circularly, a shaft joined to the frame, a joint installed reaching inside the frame and the shaft at a joint portion of the frame and the shaft, and an expandable resin placed between the joint and the frame. A badminton racket manufacturing method includes an expandable resin placing process that places an expandable resin that expands when heated on an outer periphery of a portion of a joint, the joint being to be installed to reach inside a frame formed with the resin sheet tube and inside a shaft, the portion being to be installed in the frame.

Abstract:
A golf club head of simple structure is provided, in which tungsten balance weights can be fixed to a titanium sole plate with a sufficient bonding strength. A golf club head 2 includes a hollow shell made of titanium or titanium alloy. The shell has a main body 4, a sole plate 6 and a face plate 8 which are integrally welded. Balance weight members 10 made of tungsten are provided on the sole plate 6 as press-fitted into holes 12 arranged between the toe side 6a and the heel side 6b of the sole plate 6. The balance weight 10 is a disk-like shape and integrally has a flange 10a extending radially at an upper end thereof. The flange 10a provided at an upper end of each balance weight member 10 abuts to the inner surface of the sole plate 6. Also, there is provided a metal plate 14 which covers and abuts the upper portions of the balance weights 10. An edge portion of the metal plate 14 is bent in the shape of "L" by a thickness of the flange 10a of the balance weight member 10, and appropriate points of the edge portion are welded to the inner surface of the sole plate 6.
Abstract:
A golf club head includes a sole of metal material and having a rib on the upper surface thereof, the rib extending from a heel portion to a toe portion along the longitudinal direction of the sole. A hitting portion formed of carbon fiber reinforced resin material and having a substantially triangular shape in cross section is mounted on the sole and fixed thereto with the rib being fitted within the hitting portion. The hitting portion occupies an area of from 70 to 85% of the total area of the cross section of the head body substantially at the longitudinal center thereof. A hosel for receiving a shaft therein is integrally connected to the sole at the heel portion.
