    摘要: A system for displaying accumulated ultrasound images of tissue structures. A set of N image frames is used to produce a peak image display. Multiple peak image displays are produced by discarding the oldest image frame in the set of N image frames and replacing the discarded image frame with another more recent image frame. The more recent image frame is added to the set of image frames to produce a new set of N image frames. The new set of N image frames is used to produce another peak display image. If there is an undesirable amount of distortion or blur in the peak display images due to tissue motion, then the number of image frames in the set of N image frames can be reduced.

    摘要: A method for volume based registration of images is presented. The method includes receiving a first image data set and at least one other image data set. Further the method includes identifying a first image slice in the at least one other image data set corresponding to the first image data set. The method also includes selecting a first point of interest on at least one of the first image data set or the first image slice in the at least one other image data set. In addition, the method includes selecting a second point of interest on the other of the first image data set or the first image slice in the at least one other image data set, wherein the second point of interest corresponds to the first point of interest. Moreover, the method includes translating one of the first image data set, the first image slice, or both, in a first direction, a second direction and a third direction to align the first point of interest with the second point of interest. Also, the method includes registering the first image data set and the at least one other image data set. Systems and computer-readable medium that afford functionality of the type defined by this method is also contemplated in conjunction with the present technique.

A method for evaluating non-ultrasound images using an ultra-sound imaging system comprises: obtaining plurality of ultrasound images using the ultrasound imaging system and fetching a plurality of non-ultrasound DICOM images to the ultrasound imaging system. Once the images are obtained, ultrasound measurements are performed in the ultrasound and non-ultrasound images using the ultrasound imaging system to obtain at least one predefined parameter from the ultrasound and non-ultrasound images. Once the predefined parameters are obtained, they are compared to interpret the results.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for adjusting the shape of a region of interest (ROI) in a frame of imaging data in response to an operator-actuated change in the depth of the ROI. The displayed image has a background region of data acquired using a first imaging mode and an ROI of data acquired using a second imaging mode. The ROI is surrounded by the background region and bounded by an ROI graphic. The adjustment in the shape of the ROI is accomplished by programming the imaging system with an algorithm that maintains the height and the bottom width of the ROI substantially constant. Only the top width of the ROI and the angles of the edge lines are automatically changed in response to the operator-actuated change in ROI depth.

    摘要: A method and an apparatus for color mapping of flow power data in which the flow states containing information of most interest to the user are enhanced, while flow states not containing information of interest are suppressed. This is accomplished using a color mapping having three segments which are connected at upper and lower knee points, the latter being settable either automatically or via operator inputs. In the automatic mode, the host computer determines the positions of the knee points based on analysis of a single or a mean image frame of power Doppler data or based on system parameters (e.g., dynamic range) set by the operator. The host computer then constructs a color mapping having the determined knee points and loads that color mapping into the video processor.

    摘要: An ultrasound system comprises a position sensing module, an imaging tracking module, a display and a user interface. The position sensing module detects spatial information associated with a volume of data. The display displays first and second images based on the volume of data. The first and second images comprise first and second portions of the volume of data, and the first and second portions are at least partially different with respect to each other. The user interface selects a first image tracking point on the first image. The first image tracking point is indicated on the first image with a first indicator. The image tracking module tracks the first image tracking point within the volume of data. The image tracking module indicates on the display a spatial relationship of the first image tracking point to the second image.
