摘要： Methods and systems for simulating light interaction and physical materials in a graphical user interface (GUI) of a resource-constrained device are provided. Simulating physical materials, such as glass and metal, in a GUI can allow a user to feel more natural in interacting with the GUI. The user experience can be further enhanced if the simulated physical materials in the GUI can interact with the device's environment in a manner similar to how the actual physical materials would interact. However, continually polling various sensors can be resource-intensive, especially for resource-constrained mobile devices. Accordingly, a mobile device can intelligently determine whether to begin a reduced detail mode, and then render user interface objects in the reduced detail mode to conserve resources.

摘要： The disclosed implementations provide a system and method of generating or updating a geo-fence surrounding a geographic region based on movement patterns of a device operating within the geographic region. In some implementations, an anchor location is selected by a user or application. A default geo-fence can be generated to surround a region containing the anchor point. Data points are collected by the device based on sensor data and time stamps collected over a selectable period of time. The system analyzes the data points to generate a geo-fence surrounding a geographic region containing the anchor location (if no default geo-fence is defined) or updates the default geo-fence to encompass more or less of the geographic region.

The method includes determining by, a processor of the mobile electronic device, an estimated use of the mobile electronic device during an upcoming time period; using the estimated use, determining, by the processor, whether an internal power source of the mobile electronic device has sufficient power to continue operation of the mobile electronic device in a first state during the upcoming time period; based on the estimated use and the internal power source, if the internal power source does not have sufficient power, adjusting the one or more characteristics to reduce a power consumption of the mobile electronic device during the upcoming time period.

摘要： Described is a method of creating objects for collecting textual information from a CTI server and display the textual information in an application for controlling a telephony system and for allowing users to enter information associated with a call and having this information automatically associated with the call information stored in a CTI server. The objects are created by selecting reusable image symbols and embedding them into an application, without requiring an application developer to write any programming code. After being embedded into an application, these objects are able to correct textual information from the CTI server and display the textual information within the objects. These objects are also able to collect textual information entered by a user and pass this information to the CTI server.

The web browsers retrieve web pages from an HTTP server, with each of the web pages embedding an applet. In response to web page activities (such as loading or unloading of a web page) performed at a browser, the respective applet reports the activities (together with the URL of the web page) to a synchronization server, which in turn stores them in a database.
