A pole extends upwardly from the platform and is affixed to the platform. A weight, defining a hole passing therethrough, is disposed on the platform so that the pole passes through the hole. A top plate is affixed to the top of the pole and includes attachment structures disposed about the top plate. An attachment device is coupled to one of the attachment structures. A redirecting device is coupled to one of the attachment members. An elastic cord is attached to the attachment device and is engaged with the redirecting device so that the cord extends radially away from the pole. An exercise device is affixed to the end of the cord.

摘要： A handless surgical stay includes an elastomeric band with a longitudinal body having a first end. The surgical stay further includes a tissue retention member including a tissue engaging portion and an anchor portion. The anchor portion is coupled to the first end of the elastomeric band such that the tissue engaging portion extends outwardly relative to the first end. Substantially all of the elastomeric band can be configured for engagement with a surgical retractor frame such that the stay does not include a handle.

摘要： A haptic robotic system for reaming an acetabulum prior to inserting an acetabular cup is more accurate than conventional instruments and may reduce the risk of dislocation and improve durability of a hip implant. Disclosed is a three-dimensional tool path, referred to as a haptic volume. Once the haptic volume is implemented into the software of a haptically constrained surgical robotic system, the cutting tool or reamer can only be utilized within the haptic volume. The haptic volume guides the surgeon in preparing the final reamed bone surface with a greatly reduced chance of the reaming unintended bone and greatly increases the chance that the reaming procedure may be carried out using one reaming tool, or using a single-stage reaming process.
