    摘要: The present invention relates to an automatic dispersion compensating optical link system. Carrier suppressed RZ encoded optical signals generated using carrier suppressing means and binary NRZ code or partial response code, or carrier suppressed clock signals generated using carrier suppressing means and clock signals are transmitted on an optical transmission line. Two bands of the carrier suppressed RZ encoded optical signals or carrier suppressed clock signals transmitted on the optical transmission line are each divided into bands and are received. Phase information of the respective basebands is extracted from the binary NRZ code components or partial response code components or clock signals in each band and the relative phase difference thereof is detected. The chromatic dispersion value of the optical transmission line is then calculated from the relative phase difference.

    摘要: This digital transmission system is provided with a transmitting apparatus that transmits digital data signals and a receiving apparatus that receives the digital data signals transmitted over a transmission path, compares the signals with a predetermined threshold value, and performs decision reproduction. The receiving apparatus is formed by: decision circuits that receive the input of reception signals, discriminate between the respective reception signals using a plurality of threshold values, and output decision results; and a selection circuit that, based on the decision results output from the decision circuit, selects one decision result from one threshold value from among the decision results from each of the plurality of threshold values, and outputs the selected decision result. As a result, the receiving apparatus is able to individually select which decision result to use from which threshold value.

The transmitter includes a control pulses generating circuit generating control pulses having different phases; channel-frame generating circuits each outputting low-speed frame signal in synchronization with the control pulse; and a multiplexing circuit multiplexing the low-speed frame signals into the high-speed serial signal. The receiver includes a demultiplexer demultiplexing high-speed serial signal into low-speed frame signals; channel-frame synchronization circuits each generating a frame pulse corresponding to the low-speed frame signal; a switching circuit switching each of the low-speed frame signals to an appropriate port of the channel; and a switch controller circuit controlling the switching circuit.

    摘要: A digital transmission system includes at least a client device and a transmission device, and rate-adjusts the client signal transmitted from the client device to the transmission device before accommodating/multiplexing the signal in a frame. The transmission device includes a rate adjusting unit and a frame processing unit. The rate adjusting unit encapsulates the client signal by using a predetermined frame structure, inserts an idle pattern if necessary, and performs rate adjustment into the bit rate which can be contained in the frame. The frame processing unit accommodates/multiplexes the signal after the rate adjustment. The digital transmission system inserts a bit string of the client signal directly in a payload area of the digital frame, or accommodates and multiplexes it. Alternatively, a specific pattern is accommodated in the payload area, or accommodated and multiplexed after performing a reversible digital signal processing.
