    摘要: The knee protection airbag device (S1) includes an airbag (40) which protrudes rearward from a deployment opening of a housing upon inflow of inflation gas, and deploys upward to be located in front of knees of an occupant between a vehicular body and the occupant. The airbag (40) includes an occupant's side wall (41) and a vehicular body side wall (42). Lower end (48) side of the airbag (40) as flatly expanded with the walls (41 and 42) overlaid on each other constitutes an upstream side of inflation gas. The airbag (40) is firstly folded to bring its upper end (47) close to its lower end (48), from flat expanded state in which the occupant's side wall (41) and the vehicular body side wall (42) are overlaid on each other. Thereafter, the airbag (40) is folded to reduce its transverse width, and then is housed in the housing. The airbag (40) of the knee protection airbag device (S1) is able to deploy effectively from the start to completion of deployment for protecting the knees of the occupant.

The polyurethane material according to the present invention is capable of molding a non-foamed or sparsely foamed lacuna-free pad cover although the material contains neither any fluorocarbon nor any chlorofluorocarbon.

    摘要: There is provided a thermoplastic olefin elastomer of polyblend composed of 30 to 70 wt % of ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer (EPDM), 10 to 30 wt % of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), and 20 to 50 wt % of polypropylene (PP). The EPDM is specified by the Mooney viscosity, propylene content, and third component. The EVA is specified by the VA content and number-average molecular weight. The PP is specified by the number-average molecular weight. This elastomer is suitable for use as a raw material for automotive exterior trim such as side molding, bumper, and mud guard which are produced by injection molding. The elastomer also affords molded items having a good matte-finished appearance. The polyblend obviates the process for partial crosslinking which was necessary for the preparation of conventional elastomer for injection molding.

    摘要: A steering wheel is disclosed, which is produced by injection molding a resin composition comprising (i) a crosslinked vinyl chloride polymer having a gel fraction of at least 20% and a non-gelled portion having an average polymerization degree of from 2000 to 3000, (ii) a non-crosslinked vinyl chloride homopolymer having an average polymerization degree of from 800 to 1000, and (iii) a liquid plasticizer, wherein the weight ratio of polymer component (i) to polymer component (ii) is from 50/50 to 80/20 and (iii) the amount of liquid plasticizer is from 70 to 130 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the total amount of the two polymers (i) and (ii). The steering wheel has excellent properties with respect to uniformity in matte surface, wear resistance and lightfastness.
