This invention comprises cellular vaccines and methods of using them in cancer immunotherapy, particularly in humans. The vaccines comprise a source of tumor-associated antigen, and a cytokine-secreting cell line. Tumor antigen may be provided in the form of primary tumor cells, tumor cell lines or tumor extracts prepared from the subject. In certain embodiments of the invention, the cytokine-secreting line is a separate tumor line that is allogeneic to the patient and genetically altered so as to produce a cytokine at an elevated level. Exemplary cytokines are IL-4, GM-CSF, IL-2, TNF-α, and M-CSF in the secreted or membrane-bound form. In these embodiments, the cytokine-producing cells provide immunostimulation in trans to generate a specific immune response against the tumor antigen. Vaccines may be tailored for each type of cancer or for each subject by mixing tumor antigen with a favorable number of cytokine-producing cells, or with a cocktail of such cells producing a plurality of cytokines at a favorable ratio.

A releasable corner structure for a heddle frame includes a projection carried by a side support, wherein the projection is received in a hollow space of a frame stave and is clamped in position by a clamping screw. The clamped projection is in the form of a flat body formed in one piece with the side support, and defines an outer frame having an opening within which flexible vibration dampers are positioned to lie between the outer frame of the projection and a metallic member that fits within and is spaced from the sides of the frame opening. The metallic member is riveted to a U-shaped sheet-metal casing that is adapted to surround the outer frame with a slight clearance space. Into the open top of the U-shaped sheet metal casing is riveted a rigid ledge member, against which the clamping screw acts. The side support projection is received within the frame stave and is separated therefrom by the vibration dampers, and therefore vibrations between the side support and the frame stave are damped and heddle frame breakage is prevented, especially when the machine in which the heddle frame is installed is operated at high speeds.

Oscillation of the housing part causes the inner serrated bars to oscillate in their longitudinal direction with respect to outer stationary serrated bars in which they are positioned. Separate adjustable spring loaded locking cams act to keep each coupling and control element in position; however, if an inner serrated bar becomes blocked with respect to its movement relative to the associated outer serrated bar due to drop wire falling across the teeth thereof, the associated coupling and control element will rotate, causing a contact spring to close an electrical circuit which activates a switch to stop the weaving machine and the oscillating movement of the housing part.

The beam-shaped part (2) of synthetic material has a lower section of T-shaped cross-section (4) and (10) which engages with slot (13) and its larger configuration (14) for holding and guiding the inner bar (1) in such a manner that a vertical separation of the inner bar from the outer bar is prevented, although the inner bar is capable of longitudinal reciprocation in the outer bar (8). The longitudinal edge of the inner bar located beyond the free ends of the legs of the U shaped outer bar has about the same thickness as the outer bar and covers a slot (9) of the outer bar (8) to prevent entry of fluff and dust.
