Abstract: Disclosed is a mixing mechanism. The mixing mechanism includes an auger, a fluid handling portion, and at least one discharge hole. The auger configured to receive granular materials from a granular material source and capable of moving the granular material along a predetermined path. The fluid handling portion is coupled to a fluid supply source and has an inlet within an interior section of the auger. The size and positioning of the discharge hole (or holes) along the auger are specifically configured to allow for optimum mixing of the materials prior to being discharged.

Abstract: A disposable absorbent article includes a first side panel, a second side panel, and an intermediate side panel. The first side panel is disposed in a first waist region, and the second side panel is disposed in a second waist region. Both the first and second side panels extend outward from a first longitudinal edge. The first side panel has a first stretchable width, and the second side panel has a second stretchable width. The intermediate side panel is joined to the second side panel thereby forming a non-refastenable seam and is joined to the first side panel thereby forming a refastenable seam. A gap disposed between the first side panel and non-refastenable seam having a gap width between about 1 percent to about 40 percent of the first stretchable width plus the second stretchable width.

Abstract: A method for preserving data transfer order in a pipeline computer system, wherein a first block of data is transferred from a first device to at least a second device during a first computer cycle. Simultaneously, the first block of data is stored within the first device. Druing a second computer cycle, a second block of data is transferred from the first device to the second device, and an acknowledge signal is issued, indicating the success or failure of the transfer of the first block of data. If the acknowledge signal indicates a failed data transfer, a reject signal is issued and data transfer is restarted beginning with the previously failed data transaction which has been stored within the first device, and data transfer then continues with a preserved data transfer order.

Abstract: In order to allow a truck with the ability to distribute sand to a roadway, while also having the ability to tow accessories, a uniquely configured sander body is provided. The sander body is uniquely adapted for attachment to the truck tailgate, and specifically sized so that it does not interfere with the towing mechanisms of the truck. Further, sander body is also uniquely configured to have a sand distribution chamber, with a removable rear wall, thus allowing easy access for cleaning and maintenance purposes.

Abstract: A fastening member has an inboard end and an outboard end and a panel region, an end region, and a fastening element. The panel region has a proximal edge and a distal edge. The panel region is disposed adjacent to the inboard end and is more extensible than the end region. The end region is disposed adjacent to the outboard end. The end region has a fastening element zone having a first stiffness and an intermediate zone having a second stiffness. The first stiffness is greater than the second stiffness. The intermediate zone is disposed between the fastening element zone and the panel region adjacent to the distal edge. The fastening element is disposed in the end region and defines the fastening element zone.

Abstract: A disposable absorbent article adapted to be worn about a lower torso of a human body and having a chassis, a non-removable absorbent core component disposed in a crotch region of the chassis, and a replaceable absorbent core component disposed in capillary liquid communication with the non-removable absorbent core component. The replaceable absorbent core component may be removed and a like component may be substituted in place of the removed component without the removal of the absorbent article from the wearer. The replaceable absorbent core component may be disposed inside an openable chassis pocket, with access for its removal and replacement provided by an aperture in a backsheet, an openable end of an external pocket, or an openable end of an internal pocket formed at an area of a waist end edge where the backsheet and a topsheet may be separated. Additional replaceable absorbent core components may also be incorporated.
